Name: Laura Howard DePree on May 18, 2008Comments: This classically designed building is an architectural gem. This building is a critically important resource in our city and is in need of preservation. Even in its time this building was lauded as 'one of the finest of its kind in the south.' Name: Jeremy Rich on May 19, 2008Comments: Please do NOT tear down this BEAUTIFUL building. It is a one of a kind in Atlanta and so few architectural gems still exist. A city with old and new buildings has charm and character. There are so many great uses this building could have rather than being a surface parking lot! We will never see another building anything like this be built ever again so please save it!Flag

Name: Joselyn Schutz on May 19, 2008Comments: So tired of the ugly 1950s architecture Ma Tech has been reviving in the last 5 years. Didn't we learn from Van Leer Beauty is timeless, but trendy will have to be torn down in 40 years. In the 90s, we were building beautiful buildings again (esp. the dorms); now we're back to hideous.Flag

Name: Valerie Stickles on May 19, 2008Comments: As a Tech alum, I consider it vitally important for our campus to incorporate the surroundings of our institution instead of tearing down buildings - especially those designed by our destinguished alumni. Buildings like these not only celebrate the history of our city, but also celebrate the history of our Institute. Please do not demolish the Crum and Forester Building.Flag

Name: Dan Geist on May 19, 2008Comments: As a Tech Alum, I would very much like to maintain the legacy of other talented Tech alumni rather than bulldozing every historic item and replacing it with lowest-bigger state of Georgia contracts garbage (read: nearly every building at tech built since 1995) or worse, replacing it with nothing of consequence.Flag
