We, as signers of this petition, believe that Coxhall Garden's needs to remain a public park that can be enjoyed by all. We believe that it is unacceptable that three years ago part of Coxhall Garden's was sold to the highest bidder by the Hamilton County Parks Department. We believe that it is outrageous and troubling that Coxhall Garden's facilities are being managed exclusively by a private business named the Ritz Charles. We believe that it is absolutely unacceptable that in order to rent the Coxhall Garden's facilities you have to go through the Ritz Charles (not the Hamilton County Parks Department) which charges upwards of $2000 for the facilities at Coxhall Garden's. That is about 40 times the amount it costs to rent any other facility in the Hamilton County Parks System. We believe that the Hamilton County Parks Department needs to cancel and never create any other contract that gives our beautiful parks to a private business. We believe that the facilities at Coxhall Garden's need to be rented at the affordable price all of the other Hamilton County Parks rent at. Thank you for taking time to read our concerns.
