The school district is trying to get rid of a program that has been around since the school started and has not only been the starting place of many major success stories such as Anthony Sedlak of The Main on the Food Network but has also allowed many students who would not normally have graduated to be able to and have a successful career where they might not have otherwise had one.
Grace Pineda who recently won best apprentice at the bocuse d'or in France graduated from chef training. She has been in the newspapers a lot lately.
The school district leadership is finally starting to sweat because they cannot ignore this level of public outrage anymore. They thought they could kill this program in the shadows but our momentum is forcing them to face the consequences of their cowardice.

KEEP THE CHEF PROGRAM. It has such a good history of success, why mess with what works?

Ridiculous to cut this. Chef training gives kids real world skills they literally cant get in a regular classroom.

My son loved this class. He learned so much about hard work and discipline. Please save it.

Total mistake. School is about more than just textbooks. Kids need trades and this is a great one.

This program is basically the only reason I stayed in school. Don't take it away from the kids who actually need it.
