Save Brentwood's Cafe Rouge from closure
To Graham Turner, CEO Tragus Group:
We, the undersigned, request that the Café Rouge on Brentwood High Street be kept open.
Café Rouge has become part of the lifeblood of Brentwood. The restaurant is one of the few establishments on the Brentwood High Street offering not only the three main meals of breakfast, lunch, and dinner but also afternoon coffee & cakes, pre-dinner drinks and late night snacks.
In contrast to many other High Street chains, the friendly, welcoming staff greet Café Rouge regulars - and new diners - with warmth and affection. As the theme song to the TV show 'Cheers' says: "You want to go where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came".
In the 15 years that Café Rouge has been open in Brentwood, it has integrated itself into the fabric of the community. Its closure would leave a hole in the High Street.
We ask that you reconsider the closure of Brentwood's Cafe Rouge and keep the restaurant open as a viable concern.
