AnonymousWe must keep our town football club but lets ensure that we have people running it who know how to pay rent? is that too difficult? Does that need a university degree or is there just no money! If there is no money then pull it down!

Mick HolgateI am against the possible loss of what is a very big part to the local community.
AnonymousTell the goverment we as a district cannot absorb the amount of houses they have ordered us to take. Hence the reason MSDC looking to build houses everywhere. If this goes ahead every football club should start to worry
Kim Harrislet the club continue at the grounds until an alternative ground has been found.
Keith Horton25 years of wasted effort to build a local football team. the council should find an alternative.

Ann Hortoni think the council are being too heavy handed

AnonymousThe council are obviously going to save a lot of money by developing the site so why are they not providing another ground to the same standard.

Alison SuttonAs a Brighton fan I know only too well the misery caused by the loss of a home ground to the money men and the developers. Football clubs - however small - are at the heart of communities: it is not just about entertainment and profit, as current trends in the Premiership would suggest - it is about heart and soul and unity and spirit. Working people everywhere are slowly losing these things to the men of greed and we should fight every step of the way to stop this happening.
AnonymousTerrible idea!

Antony CadmanGood luck with the campaign
chris mitchellI live in Brighton and support brighton and Hove Albion and also went to the Burgess Hill v Chatham match to show my support for the Club. It is an absolute disgrace that the council can even consider this action to evict a football club after 125 years. We will soon be left with no recreation facilities at all for young people. When i was young i spent every weekend and summer holiday playing football in the local parks. It certainly kept me out of trouble and made be healthier and fitter. We need to keep our sports facilities for future generations to enjoy otherwise we might as well live in an inner city and have all the problems that that entails. This action smacks of a backhander.
alan norrisfootball and any team sport will always promote friendship & community spirit this development must not be allowed to happen
Mr & Mrs FinneyTo build houses on a plot of land is so easy. But to destroy something that has been in existance and used by many for so long is not only a waste, but just shows how stupid these people that should be serving our community actuly are. Just look at the costly fiasco of anything that needs to be built nowadays. So if the ground is lost, they will use cost as the reason for not providing a new one. These short sighted people are not fit to serve us and Burgess Hill deserve better, for the future.
