| 57 | Scott McCarthy | What is it with poxy little councils going against the wishes of the majority and denying us a sporting institution to be proud of. First it was Lewes and the Albion, now Mid Sussex and Burgess Hill
If they cost us our football club, I will not be voting any of them back in |
| 58 | kelly awcockk | keep this club going as my dad and my grandad both played for the club. |

| 61 | Kevin Baker | The local football club is an amenity, for the enjoyment of the local public and visitors to the town.
Exactly the same principle as the local leisure centre.
Our local council are quite happy to sustain substancial losses from the Triangle Centre. Paid for by local ratepayers. And also to ignore their own regulations on lighting, etc.
The football club is being unfairly treated.
It's all about money, in my opinion. They want to build a load of houses over the pitch, which is prime building land. |
| 62 | Tim Cozens | I really hope this all gets sorted out for you. I alway thought local politicians were there to help the local people, maynot. (when we (Ashford Town), came to you this season, we had a great day and were made to feel welcome, I hope that next season and beyond, we can do the same again |

| 66 | JIM BURLONG | This great club has given me and thousands of others a fantastic amount of pleasure over the years. BHFC is a major contributor to BH life and a credit to Mid Sussex Football as it,s most successful team. Come on MSDC get a grip, you cannot do this, it is just WRONG !! |
| 67 | Toby.cw | As a cray wanderers fan we have lost many a grounds due to the council, i sympathise. |

| 70 | Anonymous | Burgess Hill Town FC are the top ranked side in the whole of the Mid Sussex district, currently playing at the highest level in their history. Most councils support their local football team(s), but our's are trying to close then down. The history of the town's sporting achievements is more important than yet another housing estate! |
| 71 | Martin Gander | Every town needs a football club. The council should embrace the club not alienate it. Get into dialogue and sort it out. |
| 72 | Carl Wideman | a small amount of arrears and a FEW locals who dont like the floodlights and you want to close down one of our most successful sporting resources in the district-As a payer of your salry through my council tax, I forbid you MSDC to spend one penny further on legal fees to secure this closure on BHTFC. |

| 84 | Anonymous | Too many small clubs are under pressure - football exists as with other sports at the bottom level. Keep the team alive and retract the threat. |

| 93 | Brian Lisher | I have signed because I hate to seea club go out of business but I do believe that Burgess Hill should get real and appoint someone who can guide the club in a such a manner as to not continually antagonise the council and also have some sound business and financial acumen. |

| 98 | Daniel Gainsford | For this fantastic club to fold as a result of councillors self interest primarily would be an absolute travesty. For as long as I can remember Burgess Hill Football Club has been synonymous with successful football in the county, always having had a fantastic youth development policy and a strong first team. The club has largely been THE thing that has put this town on the map in the county of Sussex, along with other strong sports teams....how long before they will be victimised in the same way? For the sake of sport in general and the town itself this decision needs to be fought and overturned. It is a disgrace that this is even being spoken of, nearly any other council in the UK would support and relish such a fine institution as the football club is and has been for 125 YEARS! |
