The Historic Brown Hall located on the campus of Norfolk State University has been targeted by the current administration for demolition. To take this action would be an affront on the historical integrity of the campus. Brown Hall is so intertwined if the history of NSU that it is part of the school's Alma Marta. A renovation process to preserve at least part of Brown Hall would answer the objections of alumni, faculty, and the Norfolk Community at large. We the undersigned, call on the Norfolk State University Administration to end its plans to demolish G.W.C. Brown Memorial Hall. We also call on the NSU Administration to begin plans for the preservation and renovation of our beloved Brown Hall.
