Kelley B.i want Brett Favre to come back.
truepackersfando you idiots really want to play this game every offseason of will he or won't he retire. brett did not build lambeau, lambeau, hutson, canadeo built lambeau, more importantly the Green Bay Packers. Ron Wolf and Mike Holmgren made Brett who he is. Brett did not make the Packers. Brett did not answer the questions of McCarthy and his teammates in a satisfactory manner. This is a team that was here for 70 years before Brett and will be here after Brett. Quit saying this team can't do anything without Brett. There are no guarantees and your hero even said that there is no guarantee of getting to the Super Bowl. This team had a chance in January and blew it. 7 months ago Ted and Mike were heros and are now garbage in some of your minds. Funny, Executive of the Year and Coach of the Year candidate. I guess you are all the experts and know it all. By the way I was born and raised in Green Bay and hold season tickets and will continue to support the team no matter what. Stay out of the stadium with your Favre Jets jerseys and don't pretend to be a fan by wearing a Jets jersey and Packers hat or shorts. Let it go, quit trying to get your 15 minutes of fame and get a life. Be a fan or go somewhere else.
AnonymousResidents of Wisconsin are probably the only fans who truly know what it was like to have Brett Favre be our quarterback. Family celebrations, weddings, engagements were all centered around our love for that team. We were losers for such a long time, and Favre made it possible to go from nothing to something. He will truly be missed and it is all because Thompson was too arrogant to admit he might have made a mistake by letting Favre retire after such a disappointing loss. Thompson made Favre carry the weight of not only a team, but an entire city. Who on earth do you know in a professional job, not miss one day of work in 16 years????? That is a guy who loves the game and deserves the chance to say he wasn't quite ready to walk away. You can't buy that kind of loyalty. Fred and Julie Fabris, proud to be a Brett Favre Fan -
rogerTruepackerbacker hypnotized by ted thompson.Had a chance again this January. Not now!Ridiculous trade.Anybody not wearing a #4 jets jersey is a traitor to the gbp.

Kevin HannonMark Murphy, you are the only Packer missing from my 20 year card collection of the Pack. You are missing because I have thrown you in the trash! You do not have the Packer loyally at heart, you did not stand up for the best player in recent history, you let his name get muddy and helped in the media circus that continues to blame Brett for everything that happened. You can continue with your "Mikes honest conversations with Brett " bull and the only honest parts probably came from Mr. Favre himself. If we win 5 years from now that does not excuse your treatment of a football icon! Brett brought the Packers back from the cellar, no matter what people say, believe me I was there, I know what I'm talking about, we were the joke of the league back then, but now Mark it is you and Ted that are the joke of this league. How you can be president and serve on the executive committee is beyond me, who governs your decisions! Oh well, I guess Driver is the next to go, Ted did draft some recivers, I am sure that you would back him on that one too! Donald you could always go to the Jets on the McCarthy train! Thanks for watching out for the team Mark, good job, way to be a Packer Backer!
Leanne HolcombA sad outcome. What are the Packers thinking?
Carla Conway
Kevin Czerak
JoyceEXACTLY!!!!! THE PACKERS were NOT thinking........
Lori OtzelbergerI am so upset at the mismanagement of the Packers. Would anyone have ever thought to do this to Michael Jordan? All the good things the Favres have done for Wisconsin and the Packers and we let him down like this. I am ashamed to be a Wisconsinite and I am definitely no longer a Packer fan. I am and forever will be a Favre fan. Go Jets!!!

True Packer Fan, GET A LIFE!True Packer fan, # 20507 WHY DON'T YOU GET A LIFE?? Did you see how awful Arron played tonight with the Pack losing? LOL Read # 20466 & 20475, they said it all !!!!! Teddy "EGO Thompson, "Jellyfish" Murphy, & "Mr. Puppet" McCarthy All NEED TO BE FIRED! The TRUE REASON TT didn't want Brett back because he wanted his #1 draft pick Rogers as head quarterback!!! He wanted to end Ron Wolf's legacy and start his own. WAY TO GO TEDDY, You IDIOT. Your legacy will be that you traded ONE OF THE GREATEST QUARTERBACK'S OUT OF GB!!!!! X PACKER, NOW A {{{{{ BRETT THE JET FAN }}}}}

AnonymousHow does Ted think that we need to move on? Brett led us one drive away from the Super Bowl in a game we shouldn't have won anyways, and now Ted thinks Favre isn't good enough? Brett was the only guy last season to get a vote for MVP other than Brady. He made the Pro Bowl. Brett Favre is NOT to old to play football, and no team should have ever traded him unless they are from New England or Indy. I'll give McCarthy credit for helping Favre not make so many boneheaded plays, but then he knowingly lies to us about what was going down. This is unacceptable. I purposely watched the Olympics instead of the first half of the Packer game last night. That's right, I sat through men's synchronized diving instead of preseason football. I'm sick and tired of watching these clowns run my football team. Fire Thompson. Fire McCarthy. Once we go 6-10, we'll see who's laughing now. Best of luck in New York, Brett.
Darci StrobelThe Packers organization is so short sighted. If Rogers gets hurt, where would we be? Now Brett is a Jet (God help us) and we've just lost an opportunity.....stupid men and testosterone. A peeing match is all it is......grow up and get down to business.
AnonymousI CANT believe this has happened!!! Hopefully next year the packers can continue to build their team without the likes of Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy!
Jon PetersonReally dumb move on the part of the Packers organization, I don't know why they don't want the best chance to win now vs. maybe a few years from now, and really disgusting the way Favre was treated. Hopefully Thompson and Murphy will get fired sooner rather than later. Not a Packer fan this year. Can't believe I'm saying this but I'm hoping for a losing season this year.
snoreYawn! 1 TD 1 INT... got to do better than that to win games. On the flipside, I've been impressed with A-Rod recent talks to the media. Maybe he'll do well, but I still miss Brett!
AnonymousI realize he's gone but would like to see these efforts focus on HOW our management managed to trade the greatest living legend in football. Shameful.
Toua ThaoTrade back for Brett! If Brett, the greatest "statistical" QB of all time, recieved no loyalty from the Packers, all other players better watch their back. The Packer's won't hesitate to make a "business" decision regardless of great service to the city and team.
Randy WrightThey should have brought Brett back, now the GBP will be stuck with stiffs like me at QB for the next 20 years!

Ellen WartinbeeHello there, It's me, Ellen Wartinbee of Lake Mills, Wisconsin. I am SO saddened to learn of Brett Favre's going away. Despite his difficult situation, he is still in my heart. A couple of yrs ago I stopped at his hometown of Kiln, Mississippi and saw his statue by his old High School football field where he played when young. It really inspired me. I admire his wife, Deanna as well as his dear Mother, Bonita. My feeling will not be the same when I watch the Packers games this coming season. Will you please keep me posted what will Brett do next & where will he go? I would not care what some people say about him. Thank you, Ellen Wartinbee, Strong Favre fan
Anonymousone day you are hero the next day you are a jerk no loyalty from anyone it's all in a day's work will the cheers turn to jeers will the fans just forget in the end who would you vote for thompson or Brett?
Misty Hendersoni have been a packer fan all my life born in green bay i even have the same birthday as brett was born october 10th 1988 it would break my heart to see him go i cryed when he retired... i will never stop being a packer fan and i can say i wll never stop being a brett fan it is my life goal n dream to meet him.
MasonBrett Farve should have just tayed retired and this "Mess" would had never happened. But he is a jet now and if he is happy with that then thats all that matters. If he thinks he will get more fans think again brett. We will miss him though!! :'-(
