Comments: Give my congratulations to your Grandad. Happy 90th! (And yes, I would LOVE to see a BI 47 pjrceot!) I see you've never done a 47 before (or I haven't found it yet.) The 47 has always been my favorite transport category aircraft. A historic and storied aircraft worthy of your skills as a modeler and pilot. I would love to see the sky's over aeromodeling fields filled with 747 s! Build it! Two ducted fans at #2 and #3 should be enough and placing them there will make the electrical a breeze, eh? You'll have to work out the thrust reversing on your own, but after seeing the wicked brilliant thrust reverser's you put on your 9 (717) I have complete faith that you'll succeed. Excellent, Mike. Well done

Comments: My Father, Richard (Dick) Gifford worked for Braniff for 25 years. He moved to Texas from Minnesota as DFW airport was being built and assisted in managing the move for the new HUB to be located in Texas. I flew Braniff for many years and I have flown since the fall of the Airlines and I have never had an experience in flying since. Please keep the life going for this building as there are so many people who had picked up from their old lives and moved to Texas to start a new life and Braniff was the perfect Company to accommodate this for all of the Families!!

Comments: Dr. Roberto Duarte: Thank you for helping us imropve the descriptions for these Mexican Revolution images. This photo does show Oscar Braniff, a negotiator for the Porfirio Diaz government in 1911, rather than Alberto Braniff. We will fix the name when we update the description.Another picture of Oscar Braniff at the negotiations can be seen here:texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth63655/

Comments: This is a significant piece of both Dallas' business/corporate and cultural history. It is a massive space, can be reconfigured numerous ways, and properly restored, can really add to the otherwise drab ambience of the Love Field area.
