And that mid-century, AMAZING architecture - that 'V" roofline with the all glass front -- way too precious to let go!!!Flag

Name: Anthony Stramaglia on Oct 18, 2012Comments: We've lost, and are in danger of losing, too many historically and architecturally important buildings and structures in the name of so-called progress. What exactly is wrong with this building that it can't be refurbished and re-purposed responsibly? If it's torn down, won't another building just be built in its place anyway? The Corgan Associates rendering looks classy and modern and would easily revitalize the surrounding area and offer attractive rental property and facilities. There are always alternatives. BELIEVE IT!Flag

Byars on Oct 18, 2012Comments: This building is an integral part of Dallas' great eaviation history and it certainly can be adaptively re-positioned going into the future as an element of a larger devleopment along Lemmon. It must be saved. Dallas has torn down too much in the past and this building is easily suitbale to new uses. Thank you.Flag

It should remain as a monument of one of the most wonderful airline in the history of commercial aviation in the United States, BRANIFF INTERNATIONAL. The building could be used as a site for a future museum of this airline!!!!!Flag

Virtually every film of the President landing in Dallas has that Braniff building in the background, not to mention the takeoff after Johnson is inaugurated.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 19, 2012Comments: I am all for saving interesting and unique pieces of architecture... the best results have a great deal of human heart and sould built into them... whether intentionally or not. We cannot save the all, and many cannot be reused as their original intended purposes.. but we can sift through all of them and get the best to be put out there.Flag

Comments: The Braniff facilites at Love Field is a historic landmark that needs to be preserved. Braniff was a huge part of the history of Dallas aviation and a place of many personal memories, including eating lunch after church in the Braniff cafeteria and watching the Cowboys depart for their Super Bowls in the 1970s.Flag -
