Rhonda LetsonIt's a magical wonderful building...leave it alone!
AnonymousThe Odeon is part of what makes Bradford what it is - it's colourful history. Bradford has an opportunity to make the most of its historical identity by re-generating its grand buildings and becoming distinct from Leeds modern and fast-paced culture.
Rebecca Wharton
Tim Wharton
Rachel BarrattThe plan is to build an iconic building on the Odeon site. There is an iconic building already there. In an age when we are told that we all need to alter our carbon footprint, it is a crime that a perfectly sound building is going to be demolished and the materials dumped to make way for something that has no value to the city and history of Bradford
adam wellsHey, Turn them into cool modern shops, it would add character to the city.
Thomas McGowanSAVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
B SternIn future years the residents of and visitors to Bradford will regret the loss of this building as we do now with the loss of much of our built heritage. The neglect of this building is scandalous.
Gary SlaterThis landmark must not be replaced by another faceless modern box of a building
Anonymoussave the odean!

PashThe building is Legendary and holds many memories for thousands of people. it can be repaired and refurbished. why build a pointless hotel and apartments when theres room for those buildings elsewhere. This is our heritage and i dont care whose decision it is to knock them down but they're the people ruining this demising city. The odeon is one of the few buildings that stand out and attract people to this part of Yorkshire. keep it up or continue to run this city into a disgrace

Godfrey NieldThis building must not follow everything else that has been lost in the City. It can again become one of the finest theatres in the country.
Anonymousyeah get sum paint on that shit hole hahaha and sum pigeon repelant summut ;-)
David EdmondsonI believe the Odeon should be retained to provide entertainment to the people of Bradford and surrounding district and help bolster its tourism trade. I dont want it to be used to earn profits to a few people building apartments/shops etc.
Richard StephensonThe Odeon Bradford is part of our heritage and should be saved for future generations, the Odeon also compliments the Alhambra, It would make a great concert hall.
Alan Ashton
Richard OpenshawThe theatre is an important building of architectural significance which, with a little imagination and an injection of cash, can be a successful performing arts centre. I urge you to reconsider your decision as nothing envisaged for the site will ever replace the magnificence of this building.
Gail SudallIt would seem Bradford has lost many fine buildings over the years helping to give the city it's character. Please don't allow the city to completely become yet another place of plain blocks of concrete and glass.
lucas jubbthe odeon is a magnificent building, it should be turned into a music venue instead of it not being used at all. anyone who doesnt think the odeon should be used is out of their minds. save the odeon
stephen barker
Anonymoussave the oden
Lucy BurkhillThe Odeon should be saved as it is part of Bradford's heritage, it is a very distinctive and striking-looking building, whose domes complement those of the neighbouring Edwardian Alhambra Theatre. It is a far better example of architecture than the bland, nondescript building that is planned to replace it. Surely, it could be incorporated into a new development rather than being flattened. Save it!!!
allan fosterIt is constant mystery how Maud Marshall can take her money each month when all she as done is tell lies about the odeon (the latest been the unsafe awnings that were safe enough for men to stand on to demolish them!) and create piles of rubblethat once was Broadway I say sack her now!
Trevor Hodgson
Helen BradshawThe Odeon ispart of Bradford's rich heritage and it needs to be part of it's renaissance and future. Don't demloish it, save it!
Luke Moorhouse
Chris NichollSAVE IT!!!!!
Anonymousbradford council has pulled down too many beautiful old buildings and replaced them with concrete blocks, only to pull down the concrete blocks after 40 years, the beautiful old buildings would have still been standing
Anonymousi agree with the petition
Val Pelleschijust as the Alhambra was 'saved' & transformed, so I am sure the Odeon could be reinvented & imaginative use made of its majestic exterior to turn it into a vibrant hub of the community. Try asking Urban Splash. no doubt they'd come up with a way to avoid destruction of another piece of Bradford's soul!!
AnonymousSUPPOSE THE TOWN HALL WILL BE NEXT - BRADFORD COUNCIL OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO SOUL OR ARE FULL OF PEOPLE BROUGHT UP ELSEWHERE
matthew barnesPart of Bradfords history - the people behind its impending demolision have no concept of our history and will be seen in time as criminals for allowing this to happen!!
hackettThe executives if N.C.R. are public employees. They have a duty to act with honesty and transparency. The press statements in the local paper suggest a serious failure in this. t
AnonymousListen to the people of Bradford and let us save our wonderful building. Power to the People!
AnonymousIf we intend to regenerate Bradford and return it to a well respected city that gives other northern landmark cities a run for their money then we should be salvaging the original key features of the city and creating savvy new spaces that people will want to come visit and enjoy. As the city stands at present, it does not have the facilities that the people who would live in the proposed appartments, or would stay in the hotel would envisage. Too many homogenous 'city-living' lifestyle buildings are appearing with ambitious schemes that don't suit the needs of the local community or are not in keeping with the uniqueness some areas. Surely to tempt people back into Bradford, there would be more respect from local people (who essentially are the only ones who can know the city's needs), if a building such as the Odeon was restored back to its former glory but perhaps with a modern twist that everyone from near and far can appreciate, thus sending Bradford well on its way to its signature city status once more.

AnonymousWe do not need anymore apartments and hotels in Bradford...what we do need are lovely old buildings that hark back to a time when buildings were beautiful. Lets not make the mistake of knocking down old buildings to replace with new, ugly buildings that last 40 years. We've been there before haven't we?
Paul FixterToo much of Bradford's heritage has been ripped down, much to everyone's regret, eg Swan Arcade and the old Kirkgate Market to name two. DO NOT make the same mistake with the Odeon. A fantastic building that needs some loving care and restoration. PLEASE SAVE IT
R.James ColemanRenovate & Progress, dont demolish it to build some concreted piece of junk that will be demolished in 20 years time due to shoddy worksmanship.
hadrianits not the fact that it doent need knocking down thats one problem! the worst thing is the unorganised ,ignorrant and mercinary actions of the bradfrord council..they think they can play god,,and i personally know that its all about backhanderz..nothing more,
Juliet CooperSuch a building contains a great amount of character and history, and if restored could serve as a unique and valuable attraction to this city undergoing regeneration.
Lorna Eastwood
Dipak Mistry
Charlotte CooperWhat a shame it would be for a culturally significant building such as the Odeon to be destroyed. I spent many a happy Saturday afternoon there when I was younger. We should be doing all we can to protect these old buildings from being replaced with non-specific architectural designs!
