The potential is amazing and the Council is very shortsighted in not combining this building with the Alhambra into a duel purpose venue. A glass walkway between the two would be fantastic and a colour scheme to match the Alhambra ! St Georges Concert which which is limited in the size of the acts it can bring due to capacity could then become an Arts gallery or something similar. |

| 353 | Leeann Stewart | The odeon used to be a massive focus point for Bradford. I remember going there when I was a little girl. Now when I walk or drive past it I reminisce of how beautiful it was and how horrible it looks now. I say restore the odeon. I think its a beautiful building and is culturally binding. Beats Cineworld at any rate! |
| 354 | Anonymous | I do hope that this isn't all in vain.
I'm pretty sure that this magnificent building will be destroyed only to be replaced by another boxed building with no character.
Councils do not listen to the people who put them there. Shame on them all.

| 356 | Alex Constansis | The council could not possibly afford to make another ill judged demolition of such a beautiful building! Bradford has been turned into a very ugly city because of this sort of endless past misjudjements. Council people, you now have either the choice of trying to preserve what is still left or forget it altogether and reduce Bradford --evenmore -- to a shadow of its past with none of its true character. |

| 358 | Ashley Burke | Y is there a need 2 destroy such a predominant land mark of bradford, it should b rejenerated to bring more money back into the city. Jus look at the mess they made of Broadway. |

| 360 | mark hall | I hear that the guy who designed this building was the same guy who designed the original wembley stadium hence the domes i only heard it though |
| 361 | Damaris Treasure | Don't repeat the mistakes of the sixties and seventies. |
| 362 | Max Marshall | It seems a great shame they want to smash the place to bits for the sake of something trendy. We're light years behind Leeds and they sorted their city out ages ago.
Preserve what we have I say, even if it is made of red brick.
We need somewhere to play music with a decent size venue as if the St Georges can't be loud enough then this would be the ideal venue. |
| 363 | Danny Foster | Keep this building and restore to its former glory
i used to go ther as a kid |

| 365 | Anonymous | The Odeon is as much of an iconic symbol of Bradford as the Town Hall. But would we dream of knocking that down?
Sort out one pile of rubble before you create another Bradford Council! |
| 366 | Mark Cranmer | Regeneration is about preserving the heritage and landmarks as well as modernisation...we have seen too many acts of vandalism perpetrated by planners in this city. We do not wish to see any more! |
| 367 | Beverley Haigh | Keep the Odean and renovate. We should take care of our heritage. |

| 369 | Anonymous | what the hell are you thinking!!?? knocking the odeon down is one of the stupidest things you could do! you cant replace it with anything as interesting, just another modern piece of shit! this has history and adds to bradfords beauty |
| 370 | Sarah Powell | |
| 371 | Roy Jenkinson | The Odeon is part of my " youth " and to contemplate demolishing this superb building is nothing short of scandalous. A full structural survey should be commissioned immediately to prove, once and for all, whether the " spin " coming from City Hall has any substance to it or not. The citizens of Bradford deserve nothing less ! |
| 372 | jenny | if it gets knocked down, there will be yet another pile of rubble destroying the view for all bradford towners. |

| 374 | Alicia Clifford | leave it! |
| 375 | Denise Hastings | To demolish this building would be yet another piece of history removed from the city. This is a unique buiding and would be a great loss to the city To put an 'iconic' building here in an area full old buildings would look out of place and this would leave the Alhambra which is of a similar style of builing looking a very odd and out of place . It seems that the Odeon is being left to deteriorate so that they will be able to say that it is unsafe. Things can be rebuilt when they are in a bad state of repair if the planners/builders really want to, take Eastbrook Hall as an example. Give us back a city centre and stop pulling buildings down and leaving piles of rubble with no signs of rebuilding eg. Rawson Market, Broadway, Forster Square (this was supposed to be a shopping mall but was scaled down and all there is now is 2 blocks of square buildings with no transport from one end to another. If you do not have a car you are in for a long walk. Dont make a laughing stock of Bradford. In my job I have to encourage young people to come to Bradford but I am finding it hard to explain all the demolition and lack of building to them. |
| 376 | richard woodcock | The Odeon is a beautiful landmark building at the heart of the city - it deserves to be restored and revitalised. |
| 377 | Andrew Davison | I would be a darn shame to demolish such an iconic building and I feel the council are just making excuses and blatantly ignoring the people of Bradford; thus denying what we want. I feel if they had there own way most of Bradford would be torn down, which in effect would leave Bradford with no character. |
| 378 | Sally Harrop | Has the council learned nothing from the catalogue of development mistakes inflicted on Bradford previously? |
| 379 | Anonymous | This building is part of my heritage, and childhood . |
| 380 | Josh Taylor | don't be stupid, the building is a legend! |
| 381 | Michael Dey | It will be an amazing asset to the city, and a national landmark.
It won't be if it's rubble on the ground.
save it. |
| 382 | Georgina Bache | This building is one of Bradford's iconic landmarks. Don't destroy it based on fabrications of the truth. Bradford will be a better place if it is rennovated. |
| 383 | Suzanna Hogan | |
| 384 | Jonathan Dixon | save the odeon. its unique. ive only been in bradford 2 years but ive found out the odeon has a very interesting history. plenty of life left in it still. i see all too often buildings pulled down to make way for more poor quality ones. |
| 385 | Bill Francis | why knock down one of the most individual peices of architecture in Bradford? Has loads of potential to be a great music venue |
| 386 | tess connor | how can you tear down a building which is as beautiful as the odeon in bradford is??
it's such a mistake!! |

| 388 | Craig | For once bradford council, use a litle bit of sense and redevelop the place rather than knocking everything down that does'nt fit into the masterplan |

| 394 | Anonymous | I am very proud of being a Bradfordian and I am a lover of old buildings. The Odeon represents Bradford and should not be demolished all it needs is some TLC and obviously some funds. Our council should listen to it's residents and not take the easy way out like it has done with a great deal of our beautiful buildings. I'll definitely be there on Saturday to show my support. |
| 395 | Ashley Stones | My Aunt worked in Swan Arcade, my Mother took me shopping in Kirkgate market. We all went to see "A Hard Days Night "at the Gaumont. When nothing is left of my past will I cease to be a proud Bradfordian? No, but I'll be bloody angry. |
| 396 | David Rayner | I demand a vote on the matter and am fully in favour of it not being demolished. |

| 399 | Anonymous | I WUB THE ODEON |
| 400 | Gena Netherwood | I am HORRIFIED to see such a wonderful building get torn down. I am from America, which is a land FILLED with newer, drab, horrible-looking new buildings with absolutely no real history or character. It just frustrates me that anyone would want to trash a beautiful Victorian-era building. It would cost the same money to build a plain, unremarkable, brand new building as it would to repair and restore the Odeon to its former glory. Plus, it would be a perfect large venue for concerts and various other things for West Yorkshire. It would bring money in. It would bring people in. And above all, it would look gorgeous doing so. Don't strip your land of its history. Take it from an American who is in awe daily by the buildings I see in Britain. Do NOT DEMOLISH THE BRADFORD ODEON! |
