| 306 | Sharon Edwards | You only have to look at the Alhambra to see what can be done with the Odeon! |
| 307 | ian hollingsworth | glorious looking old theatres must be kept. or else we will forget who we are in this multiplex world. |
| 308 | Helen Grantham | Such a beautiful building like the Odeon must be saved and restored back to the spendour it once was!
Bradford's music scene is on the up and the Odeon would be the ideal place to host even more exciting events. |
| 309 | Bethany Clifford | |
| 310 | Josef Waterworth | this is one of bradfords most beautiful buildings and should not go it would benifit bradford to restor it rather then pull it down |
| 311 | Robert | |
| 312 | Chris McCabe | It is vital to Bradford's future that The Odeon is not demolished. Previous demoltion efforts, such as Kirkgate Market and The Swan Arcade were huge mistakes that are now regretted. We must not repeat these mistakes!! |
| 313 | Kirsty Taylor | |
| 314 | Stephen Evans | The demolision of the odeon building would seriously damage the future of bradford, which should surely refect the city's ever decreasing history and character. No-one wants an 'exciting replacement' or other such poorly spun marketing - Bradfordians don't want to be sold an idea of what COULD be...we want what IS. |
| 315 | Maedhbh Mc Cullagh | Demolition doesn't equal regeneration |
| 316 | Mark Stubley | |
| 317 | Christine McCabe | |
| 318 | Ian Popadenis | We love you ye ye ye |
| 319 | Jan Haworth | |
| 320 | lindsay raistrick | It's a stunning building that ispart of bradford's heratage!
The building can still be a useful bulding 1
Why knock it down and build something not half as nice and costing a fortune when there is a perfectly useable one already there? |
| 321 | Natalie McEvoy | |
| 322 | Anonymous | It would be fantastic to get it back to its former glory, there are far too many old unique buildings knocked down and in their place some monstrosities have been erected |
| 323 | Michael Gibbons | I want to see the odeon retained - we have a real lack of civic pride and identity within Bradford and we should retain and celebrate our heritage - its a disgrace that the council can continue to make the same mistakes again and again |
| 324 | Jenifer Fox | this historic building must be saved, i cannot believe it is not listed, the regret which will be felt in a few decades, perhaps even years, if this building is demolished will be so great. |
| 325 | Glen Davies | I was in the offices of the Telegraph and Argus newspaper the day that they broke the story, that this building would come to an end. I didn't believe it.
And neither should you. |
| 326 | Jonathan Clifford | |
| 327 | Jennifer Hill | Why get rid of such an amazing building, one of the few positive points about Bradford |
| 328 | Ros Banks | |
| 329 | James Clayton | Come along and hug the Odeon on 14th July. If you're a Facebook member sign up here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=2830540712&ref=nf |

| 331 | Anonymous | Have they learned NOTHING from the 1960s?! |
| 332 | Hannah Heasly | |
| 333 | Matt Dutton | Buildings like the Odeon are part of Bradfords charm. It makes Bradford stand out from the crowd!
The place needs cleaning up & it would then mix in great with the new arcitechure plans.
Did you know that it can easily seat over 3,000 people by all accounts! Surely use could be made of the inside?!
The other thing is there are tonnes of other plots in the Centre too!! Where I work alone, there are several derilect mills (nr the University) which would be far more appropriate for these apartments. |
| 334 | Christian Sinclair | We cannot let a building with so much potential go to waste. The Old Odeon building would make a fantastic music venue. |
| 335 | laura mcnally | please keep the Odeon! |
| 336 | Anonymous | its an essential part of bradford come on there's not much left now SAVE IT |
| 337 | beryl robinson | |
| 338 | Jennifer Hill | |
| 339 | Jed Forward | I and lots of other people, if fact, OPPOSE the demolition of the ODIN, WODEN or WOTAN cinema, in Bradford's VALHALLA, the TOWN CENTRE.
Any who support the DEMOLITION of this most venerable and historic place of MOVIE worship, they place themselves at war with the people of Gladsheim (the home for those slain gloriously in battle known as Einherjar who are welcomed by Bragi and escorted to Valhalla by the valkyries). |
| 340 | Diane | Please save it... could be made into a brill venue. However it'll probly be replaced by another concrete monstrosity |
| 341 | Anonymous | Please please please please please please please please please please please please |

| 344 | Amy Sanderson | |
| 345 | Mark Cantrell | There is no reason why the Odeon must be destroyed, except that a cabal of developers, 'regeneration' apparatchiks and cheap local politicians can smell profit. The tragedy is that Bradford has been through this before -- they've recently pulled down some of the monstrosities that replaced much loved buildings now they are hell bent on repeating those 'mistakes'. Of course, they're not mistakes at all -- someone will make a packet and leave residents with the eyesore replacements. Oh, and those monstrosities they recently demolished -- it's now a big open air sandpit in the middle of the city. There's nothing wrong with regenerating a city in principle -- it's just that in practice, in Bradford, it's both corrupt and incompetent. The Odeon is a treasure to the city. |
| 346 | Anonymous | Please don't let the URC repeat the mistakes of Bradford council (Swan Arcade, Kirgate Market &c.). |
| 347 | Caroline Callaghan | |
| 348 | Anonymous | woooow save the odeon...its like the most known building in bradford and i used to go to the cinema there all the time when i was likle |
