It could be made into a corn exchange ala Leeds or a concert venue again with refurbishment. Do not knock it down! The rest of Bradfords buildings which were knocked down in the 60's are missed now, keep your heritage!

19	Albert Freeman	I'm not oposing cos I'm old fashioned, which I'm not, or a stick in the mud, which I'm also not, I just think it's an important bit of Bradford's heritage, that could easily be re-used and incorporated into the BCR plans.

The Odeon could be refurbished to better than original condition inside and out - we would then have a multi-functional theatre, cinema, concert hall, sports arena, restaurant and conference centre right in the centre of Bradford which could accommodate 3000+ people. Other cities in the UK and indeed around the world would give their right arm to have such an ideally placed centrally located facility and would never contemplate destroying such a potential asset. Have we (they) not learned ANYTHING from the terrible decisions of the 1960's? Apparently not. They wanted to level St Georges Hall back then and would have if the people of Bradford had not protested as they did. What next? Flatten City Hall and replace it with another glass & metal prefabricated monstrosity, half of which is flats!? Bradford, we cannot let this happen, this is our city and our heritage, protect it by showing your support!

22	Daniel Brassington	Bradford needs a decent and large music venue, currently the amount of bands put on at St. Georges Hall is rediculous and it is neither really suited to this. Rather than wasting money on combining St. Georges with the T & A building and creating a thoroughly discontinuos and impractically shaped layout, we should open up the Odeon building to it's full auditorium of 3,318 seats. This would have an impact on the city and give us a large venue currently lacking in the centre. With Rio's closing down and moving to Leeds, there is now a gap in the market to be seized. Unfortunately this council will probably not listen to the people one bit, and hand it over to these companies with their own interests at the forefront of their thoughts. The endless lies from BCR have been rediculous and proven wrong by the recent photo's taken inside. Why on earth can't this development replace the Car Dealership/Petrol Station just up the road from the Odeon? The current plans for this site detail again more apartments. With all the empty mills around, why are so many new ones needed? This is a special building to Bradford and to replace it with apartments is shameful.

24	Leon Carroll	The domes themselves are a key part of the Bradford skyline, along with the Alhambra and Britannia House. With St Georges Hall only offering middle of the road musical acts, Bradford needs a contemporary music venue, and what better than a venue which has played host to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones among many others. The so called 'West End' would then actually be worth the name. It would be a disgrace if the Odeon was to be demolished. Bradford has too often destroyed its best architecture in the name of progress (Swan Arcade anyone?), don't let the Odeon go the same way. Leon Carroll

It should be revamped and reopened as a venue for further more artists to play . When will the Officials in Bradford get it right and invest in to something that has a future? As the building has a major potential to make revenue from concerts and shows and maybe put it down as landmark that Bradford can be proud of?Look what happened to the supposed shopping center.Now the only thing there is a large patch of land that no invester will touch and an eye sore for everyone who has to walk around it. Why dont they do something right for once and give Bradford back its former glory venue for todays Bradfordians to enjoy? If they are planning to do this I suggest they hold a public meeting so people can put their points of view forward.Rather than just ignoring us and continue to bring down the city.

Turning the odean back into a concert hall would do so much for Bradford, especially as nearly all the other live venues have closed/are closing. Who needs MORE expensive apartments? As someone who has lived their entire life in Bradford this would be a travesty if it happens. Also the Beatles and the Stones played there! How many venues can say that!

What are these people thinking?.As in the past Bradfords historical heritage was swept away and this will surely happen again if people don't make their voice heard.All that business about the Odeon project not being cost-efective to restore is quite honestly rubbish.We all know that if something needs saving then it can be done. Modern building methods and technology will allow this with virtually every old building 'IF IT HAS TO BE SAVED' but alas I feel there is people in certain places who think they can sweep aside public opinion and do just what they want mainly for profit and in most cases often do.Lets all pull together and make our voice heard with the Odeon. This place DEFINATELY NEEDS PRESERVING.
