Name: Al Benros on Mar 2, 2010Comments: From Peekskill NY. I've been going to the Beaverkill for over 10 years, it's a great place to spend some quality, stress free time with the entire family. Roscoe and Livingston manor are great towns with a lot to do in the summer, fishing, golf, biking, my kids just love up there. NYS should learn to improve and make money with this beautiful campground, it has lots of potential. Hope to be there this 4th of July.....Flag

Name: Karen on Jun 10, 2010Comments: Closing Beaverkill Campground would be a huge mistake. Camping still remains one of the cheapest getaway options for many, as well as the getaway of choice for even more. Since 1964 my family spends 2 weeks each summer at Beaverkill. We shop locally and can see the need to keep as many visitors frequenting the area as possible. Should Beaverkill Campground close, we will not be back to the area.Flag

Name: Deborah Fries on Jul 7, 2011Comments: This is a classic. There is pride and joy in this campground. My family has been coming here since 1970's. We have seen it lately. It doesnt need alot of money for some cleanup, tables and firepits. You could even open the picnic area. Going up again this summer. Keep it openFlag

Name: Scott Cartwright on May 11, 2012Comments: As a veteran camper and friend of Roscoe New York I support The Beaverkill Campsite. Many disasters has ravaged tese Catskill towns.By closing campgrounds you hurt ther economy and tourisim this would not bold well for the state of New York ,it would only hurt its tourisim appeal sending much wanted bussiness elswere.AS a Devout New Yorker I Realize the state of our economy wich needs alot of improvement, back on topic these campgounds throut decades have attracted much profit to the New york Goverment and made our state one of a kind.I have the utmost respect for The NYSDEC i new a few rangers and officer when in the fireservice and as a coservation student.I thank you for hearing my concern for the states image as image is everything.Have a great day Scott A.CartwrightFlag
