| 616 | Dr. A. Seth Greenwald | Dear Mr. Janeway,
I am writing to you not as a current resident of NYS, but as a person who spent a considerable part of his youth camping, fishing and enjoying the ambiance of the Beaverkill Campground. It is indeed a historic landmark for the State of New York, its people as well as visitors from beyond the state. Although memory can be prologue for the future, to deny people this unique natural spot would be totally ill-conceived.
If there is an issue concerning the cost of that particular campground, how much is it? Can some imagination be utilized and a contribution fund set-up to offset the cost of keeping it open and a vital part of what attracts people to the state?
I would strongly urge you to remove it from the closure list.
