| 558 | Robert J. DIckson | I have stayed at the beaverkill Campgrounds several times and I believe it is one of the most beautiful spots in the entire state. Please reconsider keeping it open for use this year.
Thank you

| 567 | Harrison Yee | Please, do what you can to keep this place open. |
| 568 | Brenda Samide | This campground is great. It will be sorely missed if it is shuttered. It really is one of the nicer campgrounds - bathrooms, showers, covered bridge, right on the water - yet not too flashy. It will be a real shame to close this to the public... |

| 572 | Jay Cassell | I am the deputy editor of Field & Stream magazine. Over the years, I have directed countless readers to the Beaverkill Campground. I have also listed it in some of the articles I have written about fishing in the Catskills. This May I am doing a "Fish The Catskills on $100 A day" trip, and am planning to write a feature in Field & Stream about it. My plan is to fish a different stream each day for a week, and stay at a local campground. I had intended to stay at the Beaverkill Campground and fish the Willowemoc from there.
With the recession going on, all indications are that outdoorsmen and women will be doing MORE camping than ever, chosing not to stay in more expensive motels and B&Bs - yet another reason not to close down the campground. Thank you - JC |
| 573 | Caterina Pierre | Please do not close a campground...we have so little space left to commune with nature. |

| 578 | David Berrian | I am one of four generations that is still camping at the Beaverkill camp site. Please save the camp site. In times like this with a bad economy, it is a good place to spend a vacation. |

| 580 | April Brendli | Please do whatever you can to keep the campground open! Good luck with the petition! We really want to take our cub scout troop up this summer--been coming since I was a child! Thanks for all your hard work! |

| 596 | Andrew Dober | How much can it cost to run a campground.? This State wastes millions. This proposed closure just adds to the mismanagement and neglect our elected NYS officials inflcit on the Catskill Region, and all of us as NYS residents. |
| 597 | Robert Michielsen | As the web-master for www.nycoveredbridges.org, and as a covered bridge enthusiast, I emplore you to keep the campsite open to help protect the viability of the Beaverkill Covered Bridge. As we all know, so many people nowadays have little respect for our history. I am afraid someone might arson the bridge and then it would be gone forever. If the state can not afford a few thousand dollars to keep the campsite open, how would they ever be able to afford the hundreds of thousands to rebuild the bridge. PLEASE look at the long-term implications of your actions and not the short-sighted, short-term mindset so prevalent in todays governmental leaders.
