| 455 | George Spahmer | I have planned several trips to this camp site. It is in an awesome location. It would be a shame to close it. Goverment leaders should look elsewhere for their cost reductions. There is not enough saving here to even bother. |

| 457 | Anonymous | This is the type of low cost family recreation we need now more than ever. |
| 458 | Ricardo Rodrigues | Great campground, would be a shame to see it go away.. |
| 459 | Jill Leighty | The closure of a Historic Landmark ; used for decades
as a wholesome affordable retreat by families as well as avid sports fisherman IS UNTHINKABLE !!!!!!!!!!!!
Jill A. Leighty |
| 460 | Paul Kalac | Mr. Janeway,
Overused campgrounds that would benefit ecologically from a closure should have been considered, not the BeaverKill Campground. It is a quiet campground, the kind seasoned campers seek in NYS. |

| 462 | Benjamin D. Evans | Although I am not a resident of New York State, I am concerned about the preservation and maintenance of the Beaverkill Covered Bridge. “ What I think our main concerns would be is the possible loss of the money that’s been allocated, but not delivered, to fix the bridge because they might feel not enough use will be served by the bridge. Also security might be an issue if there are very few people around, and fewer in charge of maintaining, the chances of vandalism of this property now on the National Historic Register increases dramatically.” |

| 464 | Rebecca Gore | I have been going to Beaverkill since I was a little baby, and my parents since they were small children. It would break my heart to see it close. |
| 465 | Stephen Nicolai | |
| 466 | Brian Brady | Please keep this campground open as it is very enjoyable and peaceful. We like to use it when we go flyfishing in the area. |
| 467 | James Walsh | Please consider, Mr. Janeway, that in these tight economic times that people are likely to seek out their recreation closer to home. They will also be turning to more affordable forms of recreation, such as camping. Thank you. |

| 469 | William Peterman | With the economy the way it is should we really be closing down the very simple things that families can still do relatively cheap. Camping is a great alternative to more expensive vacations and is still a great way for families to enjoy time together. |
| 470 | Thomas Lenehan | I am not a NY resident, but I am a NJ one who regularly goes to the catskills to fish. Camping at Beaverkill is a big draw for me, cheaper than a room and better than driving up there 2X a weekend. Please keep Beaverkill open. |

| 480 | Mark McIntosh | I am presently not a resident of the state but spent many years as a child playing at the campground. Given the economic realities of the country and the significant increase in campground use because of the economic downturn, your announcement to close the campground rings hollow. |

| 489 | Patricia Valek | Local families nees local places to come together in these economic times. Shame on you. Please reconsider this decision. |
| 490 | Alfred J. Sargente | Closing the Beaverkill Campground would be devastating to the local economy. The relatively small amount of money that would be saved by the State, would cause much greater losses to local businesses and towns. That is not what we need at this time to create economic stimulus. In fact, it is ANTI-economic stimulus. It also deprives many families from all over the State an economical vacation in these tough times. PLEASE DO NOT CLOSE THE BEAVERKILL CAMPSITE. |

| 494 | Diane MacInnes | Perhaps this will sound jaded, but I wonder if the proposed closing of the campground is a surreptitious attempt to further the push for natural gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale by reducing tourism in the area, thereby reducing the outcry against the destruction of our waterways and sport fishing areas. If so, please know this will not go unnoticed. |

| 499 | steven liebman | please reconsider this most unfortunate decision; how happy we will be to hear that there has been a reversal and that the beaverkill campground will be open to campers and fisherpeople this year. thank you in advance(I am optimistic and hopeful) for your change of mind |
