Tanya Briffa | We have more than enough apartments and high buildings we surely do not need more. But we do need open spaces and greenery. Please!

Joseph Camilleri | Governments and the Maltese citizens at large should protect the natural heritage and not just plant trees (34U) and flowers artound roundabouts which is just plain PR. Can someone please give us the real costs borne by Maltese citizens in sponsoring these flowers. The only ones benfiting are the contractors

Anonymous | Since there are thousands of empty houses for sale, why give permit to build more houses. The government should give tax incentives to those who have old houses for sale, so that buyers will not seek newly built houses.
Mario Fenech | Many people thought that since Dr Gonzi is taking over MEPA, this was going to change. No fat chance! What happened is that Dr Gonzi visited MEPA soon after he was re-elected and that is that! He promised us that he was going to reform MEPA, but first he has to stop this injustice; old permits ODZ should be revoked.

Robert Caruana | We have to stop the development of micro-flats instead of houses. This is a shame on our environment and quality of life.

Alan Bugeja | Reading this makes me very sad. I enjoyed 16 happy years living in Attard. It seems no one is willing or able to put an end to the greed...........
Anne Marie Grima | I am really sick and tired of watching some of the beautiful Maltese houses disappear, only to be replaced by blocks of lookalike apartments. Now that places such as Sliema have been defaced and left without any character, the same fate appears to be falling upon Attard. How very, very sad. I've enjoyed living in Attard for several years, but slowly, it's becoming an undesirable place. Instead of being proud that Malta is different than other modern countries, people are being allowed to ruin it. What a big disgrace!

joe aquilina-stjohn | while other countries preserve open spaces for their communities, malta is fast losing hers through indiscriminate building even in ODZs. Let's start with Attard and stop this senseless rape of our environment
Alfred Cassar | Let's not continue to ruin our own country and our own beautiful village, Attard

Robert Zammit |
Maria Agius | My parents live in Attard and it was our summer home since I was a child. I have seen it change over the years. A terrible high storey block of flats was built over our garden and ruined some of the foundations of the house. The area where Villa Bologna is located, is so beautiful and is one of the few beautiful places in Malta that has not been ruined by modern buildings. It would be heart breaking to see it ruined or changed! Please help to keep the beauty and history, please do not destroy!
