RogerCarlsonMNUSI had previously written an email. I believe cutting the wrestling program is bullshit. Go Sally Roberts on making the US World Team.
AngeloBorzioPAUSTo drop any Program is an injustice to the sport! To drop both programs is an injustice to everyone!
JeffreyTummonsKSUSPlease do not go through with the terrible mistake you are thinking of doing. Sit down and ask yourself as educators in a higher educational institution. Are you HONESTLY making this decision based on what you are telling the public. I think not, because that would be ridiculous and an insult to our intelligence. You are ashamed to HONESTLY give the public and your fellow educators the TRUTH. It shows your lack of professionalism and that is what is most important to you instead of the students and student/athletes that you are suppose to be there for.
Megan GoldsmithWIUSI am currently a student and a wrestler of the UMM women's team. UMM is a great school but without the tradition of wrestling to many it loses the appeal that it once had.
Waylon GoldsmithWIUSI am a high school senior wrestler, and by cutting this program you are giving me one less oprotunity to wrestle and one less oppenent to wrestle against in my future years as a collegiate wrestler.
ceceliaGoldsmithWIUSI am a mother of a current women wrestler at UMM. She attended UMM because of its outstanding science division. UMM also gave her the chance to continue to wrestle at another level while still giving her the education that she so desired.

JonathanRawlingsTNUSThe growth of women's wrestling, both at the olympic level and at the collegiate level is crucial to the future of our sport. Both UMM Men's and Women's teams deserve the support of the entire wrestling community. -Nate Rawlings, Captain, Princeton University Wrestling

PaulLaBadiePAUS Please do not cut the wrestling program's. They are a tradition that should be allowed to carry on. If some of you want to make cuts on budget's how about thinking about cutting your salaries? These program's help develop our student's into a well rounded individual's. Again, please do not cut the wrestling program's. Thank you for your time.
GregParkerNYUSI support both the Men's and Women's wrestling program at UM-Morris. I believe they should be reinstated as varsity programs. Any questions you can contact me at my email: gparker@princeton.edu. Thanks
AnaRameyTXUSThere are only a few schools that offer women's wrestling. UMM being one of them. As a senior this year in high school and as a female wrestler, my search for colleges that include women's wrestling has been long and hard. Please don't take away one of the few post-high school opportunities we women have to continue our wrestling!

GregMathieuCAI'm not sure about the graduation rate debate and other matters of institutional process but here in Canada we have as many, or more Academic All Canadian in wrestling on a per capita basis than other university sports. There is no doubt that wrestling is a niche sport but when you provide a gender equitable opportunity and are in danger of having it removed to add a single gender sport it seems inconsistent with equity goals. Our best wishes to you in your campaign to keep women wrestling.

AllisonJaquesCAWrestling should not be any less important than any other sport. It provides people with opportunity to reach a goal just like any other sport.. isn't that the really important factor???

BruceBatelsMNUS As head wrestling coach at Annandale/Maple Lake I'm shocked at the decision to drop wrestling at Morris. This will be my 35th year as a head coach and have seen many former wrestlers from our program go on to wrestle in college programs. To decrease opportunities for our Minnesota athletes does not make academic sense! Bruce Bartels

DanielDeversMNUSAs a UMM student and Cheerleader/Stuntman, the men's and women's wrestling teams were constant sources of pride for myself and many other students. They provided success in athletics at a school were (let's be honest) such a thing was rare. As an ex-wrestler it would upset me to see UMM lose either program, knowing what a contributing factor wrestling was to the person I have become today and also how much it contributes to the mental and physical developent of countless other young men and women. It saddens me to even think that UMM is willing to lose to fine athletic programs in response to a simple budget constraint. Perhaps if the Football team has so much trouble producing wins and so much trouble (as I have heard) keeping its players on the right side of the law, they should be the target of budget related cutbacks.
JonVallesPAUSDo not drop the wrestling program. We need it at the college level.

RaymondBakkeIAUSWrestling is a great sport. Minnesota has proven to be a wrestling hot bed with Men & WOMEN in wrestling. Morris has been the national leader in womens wrestling. Keep WRESTLING alive!! Ray Bakke

JamesWyckoffMNUSPLEASE KEEP WRESTLING PART OF U OF MN-MORRIS. THIS SPORT WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE THE UNIVERSITY PROUD -- AND CONTINUE TO BUILD LEADERS FOR OUR FUTURE.

andrewstombergMIUSDoug Reese and the U of M-morris represents a great aura of pride around the Morris campus. It would be a mistake to lose its most successful program, and one of its faculty, who does a lot of positive things!
SvenBrottareMIUSWhen times get tough at home, do you kill your children to help ease the budget problem? No, you find a way to survive. But at UM-Morris, you kill your children, then go out and adopt another. Does that make sense?

RonFinleyORUSThe dropping of wrestling programs has to stop. Wrestling is the most unrepresented sport for men in college athletics. Why destroy our Olympic sports?
