How dare you come to the Arena meetings and pose a "sharing" of the revenues for parking and developments and what not...you already have your casino do you really need more I hope your casino is a HUGE failure..go back to Detroit.

Comments: No, Mr. Bardon. I will never step foot into your ‘casino’ should the Penguins leave town. Especially, the when Mountaineer Gaming Resort is near by West Virginia and has been supporting ‘our Penguins’ for years. Not too mention the Wheeling Downs, Windsor, ON, Atlantic City. Tunica, MS or any other casino other than yours quite frankly! Just because you won the gaming license, it does not mean that you have won over Pittsburghers. You have a serious PR issue on your hands if our hockey team leaves the city. You got your license to print money on our North Shore. Please stop trying to further line your out-of-town pockets with Pittsburgh money and use that Philadelphia Mayor in order to do it! Do the right thing. Make some concessions. Make sure the Penguins get what they have earned, worked for, and deserve! Otherwise, you’ll really be crying when your new palace of a casino is as empty as the mothballed Mellon Arena! We as Pittsburghers and Penguins fans implore you to do the right thing … or else! If the Penguins leave, may it rest on your soul forever!

Comments: The Penguins are a vital part of what Pittsburgh is all about. If you take them out of our city, you are taking a part of the fans with them. Pittsburgh has always been regarded as having the BEST fans in baseball, football, and hockey. I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area and I'm proud to say thats where I'm from. I'm also very proud of the teams that are in Pittsburgh. My brother and I grew up going to and watching Penguin games. We were able to bond with each other through these games and there will be alot of younger kids out there that wont have that experience growing up as I did. In this day in age, kids need someone postive to look up to and the Penguins is a great place to start. My brother idolized the great guys like Mario, Jagar, etc. He played hockey for 7 years and to this day, has get togethers in his dorm room with all his fans to watch the Penguin games. Hes been to 4 games already this year and plans to go to a few more. Do you really want to rob young boys and girls of this wonderful sport If you do, fine. But know that I will not support you or your casino knowing that you have no respect for the fans and the young fans to be. I know I'm not the only person out there to feel this way and if you think you are going to make money off of any Penguin fan, you are highly mistaken. We will not step foot into that casino for as long as we live. I think its absolutely terrible to take this beloved sport out of Pittsburgh because of greed. Just terrible.

Comments: The Pens have been a part of this city long before PITG. This issue was never even about the slots license...the only reason the citizens of Pittsburgh supported it was because it was the only way to get a new arena. Please make this happen.

Comments: Mr. Bardon, Please respect me as a man as I respect you as one. Take a second and realize that my life revolves around the Penguins. I followed them there first two Stanley Cups, I followed them when they were the worst of the worst, and I follow them now when they need me to follow them the most. And they dont just need me, they need a savior like yourself to step up and not only save a storied franchise, but to save a lifestyle that Pittsburgh has truely been known to have. Do whatever you have to do to save the Pens and keep them in Pittsburgh. I am begging you. Mike Newland

Comments: Mr.Barden Please share some of the developtment and parking revenues with the penguins. You both will make alot of money. You deserve some of the money because it is your parking lot and part of your land. HOwever, the penguins deserve some also because it is there product. So please Mr.Barden Help get this deal done and Keep the Penguins in Pittsburgh!! THank you for your time and have a good day.

Comments: First off, slots are a money drainer. I've never had good luck at the slots. Once you get some table games, I will reconsider, UNLESS, the Penguins leave. Then you can suck it. Hockey is my life. Its the reason I'm going into the field I am going into, its the reason I wake up in the morning. Hockey is the only thing that has never let me down in my life. Please find someway to keep the Penguins here. Cause I dont give a rats ass about the Steelers or Pirates. I only care about hockey. If the Penguins leave, I seriously dont know what I will do with my life. But I know where I WONT spend the money. And thats your casino.

Comments: The Penguins belong in Pittsburgh. Your casino will make enough money on it's own, why do you need to steal money from our hockey team & possibly cause them to leave the city. If the Pens leave, the city & fans will be devistated, jobs will be lost & the city will lose a lot of money. Without jobs, people will not be able to come to your casino anyway.

Comments: hey, mr. barden -- have you ever even BEEN to a hockey game i mean, apart from when it is to your benefit. you know, for the sheer love of the sport by your actions, i seriously doubt it. i guess you have to get a return on your $7.5 million yearly investment some way, huh as if anyone in their right mind would have believed you'd just toss that cash into a new arena without finding a way to line your pockets in the process. oh, it's a business, i know. but SHAME ON YOU for your baldfaced greed and for tossing in with the politicos on this. (frankly, it makes me curious about what you have in mind for "redeveloping" the hill. i wonder what you'll make on that investment of course, with the political leaders we have, they'll probably just look the other way -- because it is the hill, after all -- and you'll be free to do whatever you want. you've probably figured that out by now. but i digress.) frankly, i decided not to set foot in your casino once the decision was made that ioc wasn't getting the license. i'm gladly adding my name to this petition to reaffirm my position, and let you know that your -- and the state, county and local officals' -- behavior and tactics in this matter ABSOLUTELY SUCK.
