Comments: With eco-tourism becoming more popular and as wild stretches of coastline continue to be replaced by "resorts" that provide a generic vacation experience; it seems to me that building such a resort in a place such as Playa Encuentro would be a poor choice...both environmentally and economically.

Comments: I have many clients who comes here to practice surfing in Encuentro beach, Encuentro beach is an international well known place for this sport. If the public acces to this beach is closed, we can all close in Cabarete, this is part of Cabarete's life.

Comments: closing the public entrance of a beach is ilegal. everybody has the rights to go to any beach. i have been surfing that spot since i was 17 years old, all my friends from the city and the locals are riding those waves long time ago. we are first than all of the landowners. we have to make a deal with them so they can do their project without affecting the people that visit encuentro beach.

Comments: I am a professional Software Architect, well educated, and make over $150,000 per year. I travel overseas regularly to surf and will not visit a locale in which the beaches are excluded from public access. Please reconsider this proposal, as restricting access to the only quality surf on the entire island makes The Dominican Republic an undesirable destination that I would never travel to. Sincerely, Mike Pinkerton
