Comments: The SS United States epitomizes the United States of America, and has for almost sixty years. She is innovative, sleek, fast, the best at what she does. No other ship, perhaps no other single thing, so eloquently says what this country is about. Losing her would be forever mourned and viewed as a great mistake. Let us not regret losing something that can never be replaced.

Comments: Our government can give away hundreds of billions of tax dollars to Wall Street tycoons. The big banks can can invest billions of our tax dollars in Dubai, India and China and none of them can spare a measley $5 million or so to save the SS UNITED STATES

Comments: Its a shame and disgrace to let this ship go the to scrap yards. Havent we lost enough national treasures. At one point in our history the plan was to tear down Independence Hall. What if that had happened Its the same idea.
