    Comments: Save the Odeon - an icon and a place with so many important memories for a huge number of the people of Edinburgh. It could still provide so many happy, creative and educational times for so many more - we are a Capital city squandering a great resource and it is a terrible waste of such a wonderful building.

    Comments: The council should not allow the fabric of thisimportant, iconic Art Deco cinema to be further weakened. It is is the interests of all who reside in Edinvurgh that the building be safeguarded for future generations. Edinburgh Council should not use this request to justify redevelopment of the site as anything other than a community-focused cinema/arts venue. No more bland office building dessicating the cultural life of this city. It's not good enough to promote Edinburgh as a cultural bastion in August only, or only for the tourists. Time to practice what you preach. Save the old Odeon on Clerk Street.
