Comments: OTI is a great experience for everyone. You meet so many people from your state that share the same values of no drugs, tobacco, or alcohol. I would be greatly sad if OTI didn't exist.

It helps so many people through rough times, that I believe if you take this away from us, the world will only become more hateful and harmful than it already is.

Comments: Do Not Take away OTI! It has made such a difference in my life! I have gone to OTI 3 years as a participant, youth staff, and 2nd year youth staff and every time it has been a life-altering experience. I would not be who I am today without this amazing institution. Please do not deny this important program from future generations!!

Comments: I am appalled that anyone, whomever it was that did it, could have the audacity to destroy a program like OTI. It helps so many people, and does so much that words alone cannot adequately describe that there can be no justifiable reason to end it. OTI is the highlight of my entire year...and upon hearing the news that I was going to be denied the privilege of going to it this summer, the only way to describe how I felt is numb.

Comments: I recently graduated from Whitehall yearling High School. I greaduated in 2003. While I was only a participant for a short time i enjoyed the projects which we did and the community service. I learned of the program late in my senior year from my best friend Michael Parker who is a Junior at Whitehall Yearling H.S.He told me tonight of the cancelation of the program. i think it is an awesome program which benifits the shcool and our community. I wanted to continue to participate even though I graduated, that is how much it effected me. There are not many programs at my school or in my community which try to help with prevention. I think this was one of the only ones. Even though my time was not long with it, i would like my brother, who is a freshman this year at the same school, to have the chance to experience the good times and safe times I experienced. Please take into consideration the effects it not only has on the community but which it also has on the people who loved the program and worked so hard for it. Much Appreciation, Courtney Clark

Comments: I do not understand how ODDAS thinks that OTI is not effective... it helps teenagers every year to help stay drug and alcohol free especially teenagers that do not have a school or productive county TI. So keep the TI MAGIC ALIVE!

Comments: OTI is the only place where many kids can let their guard down and not have to worry about impressing anyone. at OTI everybody is somebody no matter who they are. it goes beyind drug prevention. OTI does things that other programs like DARE just don't do. you can't take that away.

Comments: OTI is something so many ppl look forward to year round. Not only is it being cancelled for this year, but when it is brought back, it is planned to include many other groups whose main focus is not peer prevention. How can unity and education be achieved with so many other various groups Others are always welcome, but there is no need for reformatting and removing the "TI magic"!

Comments: This program has meant so much to me. It helped me become a better leader and learn ways to help others. I am in my third year of college and I am still drug and alcohol free because of this program. It encouraged me to stand up for my beliefs and spread the word. I really hope that OTI will be around to continue to help others as it has helped me.

Comments: I still talk to people from OTI two years ago. I think it's because OTI is the best possible place to build lasting friendships w/ peers who have the same values as me. Without this program, I seriously don't know where I'd be right now, and I'm sure there are many other changed lives out there because of this amazing event.
