Name: Barry Lynch on Nov 23, 2010Comments: I am from Ballincollig all my life and I feel the face of what I remember of "The Village" is being completely wiped away. I understand that Ballincollig has been transformed into a very modern town and I am delighted to have all the amenities available to us but I also feel strongly about the retention of the few remaining buildings ie The old Garda station. It is part of our history and must not be forgotten as a military town that we once were. It must be remembered that Ballincollig was once a one sided street and the only visable building was that of the Garda station. Why can't it be kept and transformed into a military / local life museum.Flag
