Keep NJROTC alive at Monterey High School

Okay...as many of you know, the state of California is in deep debt. As a result, they are cutting back on extra curricular activities at school. At Monterey High School, one of the activities they are planning to cut is NJROTC. If this is to be taken place, all the work that both the cadets and instructor have put into making the program outstanding will be a waste. Please help keep NJROTC at Monterey High School. Thank you.

I made this petition because NJROTC (Naval Junior Reserver Officer Training Corp) means a lot to me. I've only been it for not even a full year, but I have learned to love it very quickly. I know there have been some cadets that have worked very, very hard in the program, and DO NOT deserve to have it taken away from them. The Navy pays for everything the program has except for half of the instructor's salary. It is not much of a money guzzler and to many individuals, who will learn to be leaders through the program, will truly miss it. Please help, get involved, and keep NJROTC alive at MHS! Hoorah!
