Name: Declan Evans on Oct 4, 2012Comments: As an athlete that uses Heath Park on a daily basis for my training runs, I find it appalling that an organisation such as the CMES can so callously disregard the opinions of the residents, those of the wider citizens of Cardiff in general and the welfare and lives of the numerous species in the woodland they are planning to expand into, particularly for such a fringe interest as model trains. I wholeheartedly object to the proposals.Flag

Name: Justin Waite on Oct 6, 2012Comments: The trees and wildlife were there first leave them exist in peace. As humans we share this planet, we don't own it and the sooner we realise this the better the planet will be. Once a one hundred year old tree is cut down it can never be replaced. I'm sure less disruption could be caused elsewhere by Cardiff Model Engineering Society.Flag

Name: Jean Evans on Oct 6, 2012Comments: I am shocked that the council even contemplates giving away beautiful woodland to be massacred and for a peppercorn rent so on 13 days in the year the public can be allowed in and bring the Society thousands of pounds . They should be thankful for having what they have in such beautiful surroundings . Leave the Park for the majority of those who have maintained it for years with our hard earned council tax . We need it for generations to come . It takes a lifetime to grow a wood like this and it should not be destroyed for oap's hobbyFlag

Name: Julia Hollyman on Oct 6, 2012Comments: I wish to lodge my objection to the application by the Cardiff Model Engineering Society to extend into Heath Park Woods. I am a resident of the Heath and have visited the park regurlarly for over 45 years since I was a chid. I have seen the public areas reduce and change greatly over this time. Further erossion of the public area is not acceptable, especially as it benefits so few people as the railway is open to the public on such a limited basis. It is time to protect our green areas for our children and the preservation of the wildlife.Flag
