Name: Helal Touryalai on May 27, 2003State: CTCountry: USComments: Please allow for Field Day Festival to occur. It will boost your towns economy and allow the fans to attend one of the best live concerts of the year. Your town will be the epicenter of this fame and publicity. I understand that Long Island and Riverhead do not want bad press, but not allowing this concert to occur will leave a bad taste in thousands of peoples mouths. Please be open minded in your decision to let this concert happen. I hope your decision is a wise one.Flag

Name: Marshall Moran on May 27, 2003State: NYCountry: USComments: I live 10 minutes from the festival grounds. there is nothing to ruin, this has to d with some old fuck who wants to run for some minor public office, trying to leap from a minor town environmental board into minor public office. it sucks. old people interested in politics and rousing up the old "noisy, dirty, smelly" teenagers bit is getting old. the town of riverhead may not actually cancell this event, unless they have to. the town may then lose bonaroo northeast, which they were also hoping would bring in money. riverhead has nothing. they will never have anything. they need these festivals, on there assumed yearly basis. fucking this up is, unfortunatley, a bad idea. i will personally make a point of complaining about Richard Amper [executive Director of the Long Island Pine Barren's Association, and filer of many complaints of field day, and man responsible for the possible cancellation of event] to every public office and association near me. Making full use of my democratic rights I will make sure he is never allowed competent position again. I will then watch and laugh as the town of riverhead falls further into bankruptcy, and knowing full well that they fucked themselves. Riots in the streets. that would always be fun to watch, make things interesting, and would most definately occur in the event of cancellation. good job, riverhead.Flag

Name: Carri Biggerstaff on May 27, 2003State: MOCountry: USComments: Field Day fest cannot be cancelled. Far too many music lovers have spent their hard-earned money on travel expenses to, less than two weeks before the show, have it cancelled. A move like this will be a cultural disgrace to the people of Suffolk. This concert was not designed to showcase agressive or violent bands, but bands who stand up for peace. The audience involved must be taken into account before a decision to halt a huge event like this can take place. Please. Please, please, please let us have our music.Flag
