Comments: We have a repressive regime that does'nt meet the basic needs of its people. If the organization wants to know the dismal human right record of this regime, look no further than the report of the U.S State Department and the Human Rights Watch. Ethiopia, as one of the founding members of this great world body, her citizens deserve to be treated humanely in their times of need. Please extend all the necessary assistance as soon as possible. As an Ethiopian Citizen, and a citizen of the world, I appreciate your consideration in this matter. Best Regards, Belay Adenew.

Comments: Yes, we are even discriminated by the local UNHCR office among the Ethiopian Refugees in Kakuma, Kenya, for example while UNHCR gives resettkement opportunities for Oromo tribes, they denied other communitiies (tribes). Such activities has strained the the relations among the refugees.

Comments: It is heartache to see my fellow country men and women are suffering in foriegn land-it's also sad to see the cruelity of human being, specially the treatment given to Ethiopian nationals- the nation once chosen even by Mohammed the prophet of muslims who urged his followers to go to Ethiopia the land of righteousness where there is no hartred and discrimination ! MY prayer and thought goes to these suffering people and urged the UNHCR and other organisation to step in and give proper assistance and protection to end this human crisis. Above all I pray and cry to the Almighty God to show Ethiopia and Africans His fully mercy !!! Gemechu

Comments: The plight of Ethiopian refugees is partly to blame Western GovernmentsÂ’ lack of recognition of the political crisis in the country, and the policy mirrored by the international humanitarian organizations such as the UNHCR failing to resettle legitimate political claimants. Ethiopia's political situation is not different from that of Eritrea. But why are Eritreans getting preferential treatment The Ethiopian regime that drives out its own citizens from their home country can not be expected to stand up for Ethiopians suffering in Middle Eastern countries in slavery either

Comments: The existing regime in Ethiopia is harassing the population of Ethiopia in towns and in villages. If they are not supportive to the existing Meles regime. So they are oblaged to quite their country for exile. But it is not easy for Ethiopians abroad to aquire political assylum because of the regime is considered as a partner on fighting terrorism in eastern Africa. The world is turning its back on our peaple and even if they see and hear sad stories they did not want to react . See for example Zimbabwe the world reacted immediately why in Ethiopia More peaple had been arrested and shot dead in 2005 election but passed with silence. This is not fair. We want to see better for Ethiopians

Comments: The only solution to the Ethiopian Refugees issue which is a chained result starting from luck of Democratic Government leading to depression of people by military forces, making people in return unable to work properly in their own country, which leads to Hunger, Poverty, Diseased population etc. Excuses as of one the many, such as Draught being the reason of so many deaths is just Bull Sheets Â…so please my opinion is to hit the nail on the head! So to give the only solution to the Ethiopian Refugees issue is to Make Meles Zenawi and his powerful government groups Refugees themselves. Bring them to International Court for their Crimes to Ethiopia and Ethiopians!
