Name: Lenore Bratter on May 6, 2010Comments: I am 73 years old I lived in Coney Island during the 40's to the 60's. It was a wonderful place to grow up in and have great memories. I was sorry to see its decline over the years and always why. It can still be a viable neighborhood with a little love and care. When ever I come to NY I always go down to say hello and visit NathensFlag

Name: Irene LHommedieu on May 15, 2010Comments: I urge the city to fix its plan by making the following changes: * 1) Expand the acreage for outdoor rides and amusements. * 2) Prevent high-rise towers from invading the heart of the amusement district. * 3) Promote small businesses and local entrepreneurs and prevent their displacement. * 4) Protect Coney Island's historic buildings. * 5) Create jobs for New Yorkers in the amusement industry by preserving amusement zoning. By fixing its plan, the city can revitalize Coney Island's historic amusement district, preserving it as a playground for all New Yorkers, a world-class tourist destination and an economic engine for the Coney Island community and New York City.Flag

Name: Kyle Supley on Jun 1, 2010Comments: Please do the right thing and adaptively reuse the few remaining century-old buildings in Coney Island and preserve their history for the future generations of visitors who will be able to get a glimpse of how grand Coney Island once was. Luna Park is an exceptional step in the right direction, but that alone cannot represent the amazing history the remaining buildings have to offer. Please save them for our future.Flag

Name: Konstantin Uzhinsky on Jun 1, 2010Comments: we need to save building that are a link to New York City's and Brooklyn's rich history. The condos that THOR wants to replace historic building with have no cultural value. Their actions are motivated by greed and short term, myopic thinking.Flag

Name: Jason Rivera on Jul 11, 2011Comments: I was born and raised only blocks away from coney island @ 2322 w 12th st by John Dewey High School. Coney Island needs help in keeping Astroland and the Cyclone alive. I've taken multiple trips in the summertime back home to show my kids where I grew up. Where will we be if they take away a park that has been there forever and not to talk about the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest every summer!Flag
