| 4506 | Teresa Wright | As an RN, an asthmatic and the mother of an asthmatic son who could have died after using his "enviormental friendly HFA RESCUE inhaler" it is IMPERATIVE that the CFC inhalers are made available to patients who had life threatening reactions to the new "rescue" inhalers. | IN |

this hfa is very bad stuff | OH |

| 4509 | Kevin Nolan | I went back to using Primatine Mist for my Asthma attacks. HFA inhalers are worthless and cost me $25 more a Rx. I find it so hard to believe that the HFC inhalers were affecting the ozone. Thanks Mr. Gore for sending everyone into a panic about Global Warming which is nothing but a scam to make you and others money! | CA |
| 4510 | michael neary | hfa inhalers do not work for my asthma i dont even bother buying them now everyone shold stop useing them an protest why ban a life saveing inhaler rather than fix car exuast or factory emissions theirs tons of other ways to help the enviorment an noth the peaple stand up and speak for ur right to breath ... | NY |
| 4511 | Christopher Andersen | A lifelong asthma sufferer, my mother has essentially been kept alive by her CFC inhaler. Now she has run out, and she cannot tolerate the new HFA inhalers. By all means, ban whatever propellants may be used by, say, the cosmetics industry. But when lives are at stake--in this case the lives of perhaps hundreds of thousands of respiratory patients across the country--an exception is necessary on medical grounds. | CT |
| 4512 | Yvonne Gonzales | I had a life threatning allergic reaction to HFA!! Now I cannot leave home (except maybe for a few blocks) because I am now dependent on my nebulizer. And I cannot work anymore because of this!! My entire life has changed and hope for my future diminished. | NY |

| 4517 | Charlene | Albuteral inhaler is not a mantinence medicene. It is a med to take whenyou are having trouble breathing sudddenly. It is not a med you take as a long term preventitive med. such as ADVAIR. This could be verydangerous to a person with asthma, if it is not readily available for the person. Mydaughter has asthma and this could be very detremental for her, as you know economically , it could be hard to get as a mantinence med. especially if onehas others mantienece meds to get. you really need ot reconsider this, as it could not be a good choice for the insurance co. or the patient if something happened becasue one could not get thier inhaler when needed. Thank you for reconsidering albuteral inhaler as a mantience drug. | TN |

| 4524 | Marion Wildermann | This legislation will be remembered as barbaric as witch trials seem today. Shame on those who voted for this. Reverse this ban before countless people have to die. No one who opposes the reversal of this law will ever get our votes again and we will tell everyone we know, forget about our votes. We won’t vote for the politicians who took away our chance to breath. | PA |

| 4529 | Anonymous | My Son has had asthma since he was a baby. He is now 20 years old. He has always been involved in sports, and active, despite him having asthma. He would just use his CFC inhaler, and keep on exerciseing. When the inhalers changed the pharmacy gave him the HFA inhaler. From the first time he used the inhaler it did not work for him. He now can no longer exercise or run, because the new inhalers do not work at all when he finds himself short of breath. He also uses Advair Inhaler which he uses on a daily basis to help control his asthma attacks. This new HFC inhaler has greatly effected my Sons way of life. He no longer can enjoy the sports he loves, and is forced to worry when his next emergency may occur. Soon he is turning 21 and will no longer have medical insurance, he worries about having an asthma attack, and having to be hospitalized as he is a student and cannot afford the hospital bills. He is hoping that the old CFC inhalers are put back on the market soon so he does not have to worry so much. | CA |

| 4532 | Paula Smith | I have been diagnosed with asthma for years. This new regulation will effect millions of inhaler users with no serious influence on the environment. Another over-reaction to the ozone alarmists. | OK |

| 4535 | Joseph Pfeiffer | It is amazing that congress made such an irresponsible decision to ban CFC inhalers. It is a shame each member who voted for this drastic measure could not experience the difficulties in breathing from having a respatory illness and the significant relief the CFC inhalers give over the HFA variety (no comparison). I will support this effort to get this bill passed to reenact the CFC inhalers. | FL |
| 4536 | Chris Kirk | For the increased cost of the new inhalers you would think they would work better. They do not work well for me at all. I really miss my old inhaler. | KS |
| 4537 | L. Hall | Please reconsider this ban. Breathing is very
important to all people, and folks like me and
others are really challenged doing so. | PA |
| 4538 | Kathleen Y. Green | HFA inhalers are garbage--they cause my asthma to be WORSE instead of better, and I have been constantly coughing ever since the change from CFC propellant to HFA--I have to clean the inhaler more often and use a spacer (I had to pay for one) to lessen the effects of the new propellant! | CA |

| 4541 | Anonymous | I have had asthma for about 9 years now and always used Proventil with CFA and it helped to relieve the tight feeling in my chest and make it easier to breathe. Now I have been given ProAir HFA with Ethanol and It does nothing for me, I continue to gasp for air after taking this inhaler. This is a miserable feeling and we should have the right to have a medication that will help us. Asthma inhalers are the least of the Ozone worries there are MUCH bigger problems than an inhaler and they have nothing to do with helping people breathe. | OK |

| 4544 | Anonymous | This is an outrage. It is incredibly ironic that our health problems, which are in part caused by the environment we have created, are being put at greater risk in order to help save this environment. I was unaware that human health was less important than the health of our environment. This proves I am wrong. | WY |

| 4547 | Elaine Valovic | My asthma was prevoiusly well managed using a rescue inhaler with CFCs. The new albuterol inhaler HFA is not effective. I have been using outdated inhalers with CFC but even outdated inhalers are no longre available. Please issue a medical exemption to allow inhalers with CFCs for asthma patients. They are both safer and more effective and could not possibly be a significant contributer to at atmospheric CFCs. | MA |
