| 2701 | thomas mann | I have never complained about the performance of a drug. It is impossible to administer proair properly. I end up swallowing the medicine and for some reason this causes my heartrate to shoot up without asthma relief. Please stop the repeal of Albutoral | NC |
| 2702 | beth hanvey | These inhalers do not control asthma as well as the others. They actually cause my son to gag and vomit after using. | MI |
| 2703 | E.J.Barrington | Stop the madneess. The voices of the people are not being heard. | WI |
| 2704 | Anonymous | Here I am, sitting at the office, having trouble breathing, reached for proventil HFA, used it, it's not working, I used my outdated albuterol inhaler (expired last month 7/08) almost immediate relief. Please do not ban these CFC inhalers, this proventil HFA is not working! I've had asthma since I was around 6, I am now 25, I have 2 little girls,2&3, have you ever tried playing with your kids when you cant breathe???? Please change it back, Albuterol by Watson labs was working JUST FINE for me! | MI |
| 2705 | Amy Millman | The decision to remove an effective drug and replace it with something that costs more than twice the cost and doesn't work as well is not taking the patients needs into consideration. I'm back to trying to figure out how to control my situaition without oding on an inhaler. The Proair does nothing or very little for me. I | WA |
| 2706 | Anonymous | Bring the CFC Inhalers back please. My asthma got worse after using HFA inhalers. I now depend on an expensive nebulizer that needs filters and other parts replaced skyrocketing my monthly asthma treatment expenses. Enough of this HFA nonsense!!!!! | FL |
| 2707 | marlene phillips | I tried using Pro Air last year and it did not help my breathing. Luckily, I found a store that still had Albuterol, but after 2008, I'll be in trouble too. Wait until the lawsuits, hospitalizations and even deaths start happening. The FDA will have to bring back Albuterol since I will need to be hospitalized or visit the ER regularly. Hopefully, the hospitals will still have the inhalers. There is no ozone there, so be prepare hospitals, insurance companies, disability, etc. | PA |

| 2709 | Anonymous | The new proair inhalers are the worst thing thats ever happened to me, and I've lived with asthma my whole life. Im positive that if I had to use these proair inhalers growing up I wouldn't of been able to do all the things I've done. My first proair inhaler BROKE on me, and when it did work I would dred having to take it. I want my old inhaler back and no one here seems to understand what its like to not be able to BREATHE! | NY |

| 2711 | Megan Riedl | Is the environment worth killing my sister? I don't think so... | NY |
| 2712 | Jeanette Torello | The new inhalers stink!! Who decided it was ok for me not to breathe? What about my kids? Do they have to suffer too? Glad to see the drug companies are making a ''killing'' (pun intended) with the switch. | PA |
| 2713 | Katlyn Warner | I can't afford the new HFA's and my insurance might cover ten cents of the cost when it used to cover almost all of it with the old ones. The stupid things cost as much as the books that I have to buy for college.(I had to put it on my card) They taste bad and don't seem to get into the lungs as fast or as well. I am trying to make my old ones last as long as possible luckly my asthma has been good this year. this is a way for HFA companies to make lots of money by brand naming it and forcing you to shell out an extra 30 dollars each time. it is bull#$^**.
WE CAN'T CHOOSE TO BREATHE!!!
It also doesnt hold up under scrutiny regarding why they banned it.
It doesn't make any sense compared the amount of ozone pollultants released by even natural sources.
Of 17 million asthmatics most use a CFC inhaler but the CFC goes dirrectly into the lungs and stays where it is not exposed to the athmosphere (where it is harmless).
Maybe 1-5% have leaking inhalers or accidentally release CFC's into the atmosphere.
providing on average most people go through 1-2 inhalers (I'm being generous here) with 17g of aerosol in them.
that means at max 170 metric tons (may sound like a lot but remember gases take up more room then liquids) is produced each year with maybe 1 out of 100,000 molecules of CFCs making it up to the stratosphere (CFC's are denser then air and can't rise on there own they have to be transported up into the stratosphere by something else).
so that is around 1700g or 3.78 lbs possibly in the ozone layer.
It isn't much.
Compared to volcanic emissions ( large eruptions can actually blast tons of chemicals with the same effect right up there) the small amount emitted by our inhalers is a pittance.
A few large refrigeratiors could do the same damage as our inhalers, really.
. A slight reduction in Ozone doesn't cause a hole in it. Three pounds of CFC's in the Ozone wouldn't even dent the millions of pounds up there.
Is it that much to ask for the health of millions worldwide over a small reduction of Ozone that couldn't hope to form a hole.
I mean come on.
Maybe those so called enviromentalists would rather we all die or something.
More likely they want to count their money as they accuse us of destroying the planet.
Hopefully they will get asthma and get to experence the "Joys" of a HFA inhaler.
This makes me sick
I feel really bad for those have worse medical problems or can't afford the HFA's.
It is pointless legeslation that hurts millions (if not killing them!) it should be repealed NOW!!!!!!!. | MN |
| 2714 | Nancy H | PLEASE do NOT remove the Albuterol CFC Inhalers from being prescribed. I have asthma and that is the only inhaler that works for me. It opens my airways so that I can breathe without side effects. The new HFA Inhalers do not work for me and MANY others as it appears. The HFA Inhalers have bad side effects also. I only used it for 3 days and had to stop immediately! PLEASE help all of us Asthmatics. I can't believe you would take the CFC's away from us. Do you just NOT care about our breathing??? WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! | NC |
| 2715 | Anonymous | Please, Please bring back the CFC Proventil! My daughter and I both have severe asthma. I used to be just fine using the CFC Proventil, and now I have to do several puffs before I do anything. My daughter is suffering terribly right now, she is doing so many Proventil HFA puffs a day, that I will be contacting her dr. again tomorrow. She is allergic to sulfa drugs, and had an anaphylactic shock reaction several years ago to a drug called Bactrim. I am afraid that she is gradually getting worse day by day on this new, horrible HFA drug. She can't do anything but sit still, and not talk much, or she gets very panicky because she feels like she can't breathe well. She is 13, and she wants to do things like other kids. This is just so unfair. If the big drug companies want to change the drugs, we will gladly pay for drugs that work, but having this HFA drug is not a valid, reliable option for the many millions of people with asthma. Please, please do something soon, so that we can live and breathe easily again. Please help save our lives!!! Please bring back the medicine that works for us, which is Proventil CFC, NOT Proventil HFA!!! | NM |
| 2716 | Kristie Rios | This inhaler (hfa) does not work!!!!! I am having so many problems since ive had to switch..PLEASE, in the name of god, bring back the cfc inhalers.... | MI |
| 2717 | Jeffrey Jackson | This is absolutely a criminal act being enforced on a population of honest citizens, in that their only crime in life is, that THEY WANT TO BREATHE!!!!! WE THE PEOPLE WANT OUR MEDICINES BACK! | NC |
| 2718 | Donna Welna | The Pro-air inhaler does not work as well as the Albuterol I was taking . It's hard to tell if you are getting a dose. It clogs all the time and it costs twice as much. Please lift the ban on the CFC inhalers. Why did the American Lung Assoc. let this happen to all of us with asthma? | MO |
| 2719 | William Tabacchi | where can I buy the traditional CFC inhalers? | MI |
| 2720 | Lori Hayes | Please do not ban the CFC inhalers. I have tried the new inhalers and they DO NOT WORK!!! | PA |
| 2721 | Arthur Abramson | William- the contact information for Gillespie's drug store is on the UPPER RIGHT CORNER of the petition. They have Warrick CFC and Armstrong CFC albuterol MDIs.

| 2722 | Anonymous | This product clogs more often than it works. It is not fit to be an emergency medicine. Therefore it is logical that the government, following their own laws, must remove this product and bring me back my old CFC inhaler. | WI |
| 2723 | Amanda Street | I've stopped using my ineffective HFA inhaler and accepted chest pain and wheezing as part of my daily life. I have also had to stop exercising to minimize my uncontrolled asthma problems. | AL |
| 2724 | Anonymous | The new precription generic inhaler that replaced albuteral does not work for me I had to go to 4 stores today to find the primatine mist i need. please find a replacement over the counter inhaler before you dicontinue the product you will be literally killing people. | MA |
| 2725 | Anonymous | Please don't force the HFA inhalers on us. They are not as effective, and cause breathing problems for asthmatics. | AK |
| 2726 | Tai | I totally agree. My son and I both have asthma, its tough getting use to the new inhalers. How can the ban a medication and not ban other things that harm the ozone even more. Power plants still operate. | DE |
| 2727 | Bill Wade | I've tried the new inhalers with less than satisfatory results.
This needs to be rethought. | KS |
| 2728 | Megan Howe | My name is Megan. I do not have asthma but my mother, my sister, and my grandmother does. They are the ones that are suffering from this. And it kills me to know that i cannot help them. I do not want to see them in pain. It's hard enough as it is when they need there inhaler and struggle to get to it in time. I do not know how they feel but as a bystandered its hard. I for one do not want to see my loved ones die because of something they cannot help. | IA |
| 2729 | Anonymous | Bring back the old inhalers, cause they work and the ozone effect is minimal from the effects of this type of pollution | CA |
| 2730 | Anonymous | The new HFA inhalers are a direct threat to people's health, they make my asthma worse | MO |
| 2731 | Anonymous | The new inhalers simply do not work as well. I've been needing my inahler much more often than before since I've switched to the CFC-Free inhaler. Sometimes I need it two or three times a day as opposed to once a week when I was on the old inhaler. Something just isn't right. | NY |
| 2732 | Kathryn McFadden | I thought I was going to lose my sister yesterday. The HFA Ventolin does not work and this has to be corrected. We will knock on doors, make phone calls, whatever it takes to get the FDA and the enironmental people to look at this. We're talking life and death here, not deodorant and hairspray. Please help us. | MN |

| 2738 | Jerry Golay & Joann Jinks | I have a question for the people responsible in the banning of the inhalers that actually gave blessed relief to a person UNABLE TO Breath.
Does the thought of a person taking possibly thier LAST BREATH have any effect on you ??? Try Holding your nose and stuffing your mouth full of Slime. I think you get the picture! Just take a look at all the plea's that proceded my statement. In the the name of Humanity give us back the GOD GIVEN right to BREATH!!! Give us back the inhalers that WORKS. | 2739 | Ariana Figueroa | I'm 13 years old and ive have asmtha since i was 4. Ive always used an Albuterol CFC inhaler from Warrick that has always worked great. Now i have a ProAir inhaler that sucks. It's completely ineffective and it even makes my asmtha worse and now i have to rely on using a nebulizer. I had a really bad attack one night during a thunderstorm and my house had lost power and i was rushed to the emergency room because i couldn't use the nebulizer and i didn't have a working inhaler! it really annoys me that they take away life saving inhalers from people who depend on them as if they were killing the ozone the way gas guzzling SUV's Trucks, Buses and factories in cities that shoot out pollutants into the air killing the ozone every day! Its like, earth to politicians!! HELLO!!! THIS IS SIMPLE EVER DAY COMMON SENSE!! | FL |
| 2740 | Celia Andrews | I have had chronic asthma all my life, the Warwick CFC worked like a dream for me most of the time. The TEVA ProAir HFA is ineffective. What little effect it has wears off after an hour or two, and it irritates my lungs and makes me cough until I choke and it makes my mouth itch, I may be allergic to it. It doesn't relieve my symptoms. I have had to use oral cortisone again and can no longer work out on a treadmill since taking this TEVA HFA product. My life is in the toilet after decades of being manageable. | WA |
| 2741 | Anonymous | I am very concern that I have patients sensitive to new formulation with albuterol HFA but were not to the older one with albuterol CFC. This change has caused visits to the ER. Obviously, alternatives such as Albuterol with CFC are need back in the market. | TX |

| 2743 | Anonymous | It's almost like the government wants me to be overweight and out of shape. Since the new inhalers, I can't excercise and I can barely breathe ever. | WA |
| 2744 | Sonny Combs | | OH |
| 2745 | Anonymous | I wake up nightly now with a tight chest and get very little relief from these new inhalers. I have never had asthma that felt this uncontrolled before and I've even been put on corticosteroids now which I didn't need before and I'm still not feeling any relief. Please bring back the old inhalers so I can sleep and breathe. | IL |
| 2746 | Lana Maskell | The HFA inhalers are useless as far as treating an asthma attack. My niece suffers from asthma worse than I do, and she finds the HFA inhalers useless also. It kills me to think what's going to happen to her when she has an asthma attack after December. | MI |
| 2747 | Doug Shane | | WA |
| 2748 | Anonymous | I cannot take the HFA inhalers - I get chest pains and it doesn't work. I don't know what to do and am very concered and stressed about what will happen | MN |
| 2749 | Anonymous | | GA |
| 2750 | Jon Evans | I have suffered greatly because the inhalers I am using now- I need them more often and they do not work as well.
Unless you have chronic asthma- you can not understand how horrible this is.
My favorite sayings is that its like a fish out of water- not that fun people. BAN CARS! not life saving inhalers. | CA |
