jen croyle | I have also been switched to proventil and it doesn't work. I can't believe medications can be taken off the market, but hairspray and spray deodorant can still be sold. It also costs more than other perscriptions. I bet more asthma sufferswill be visiting the ER to control attacks | PA
john homassen | restore cfc inhalers as their effect on the ozone layer is very minimal compared to their health benefits for asthmatics. | CA
Anonymous | The new inhalers do not "adminster" well when you need it the most. Stop the ban! | AZ
Jennifer Kim | It is unconscionable to replace CFC Albuterol inhalers with inhalers that are not as effective and to which many people are actually ALLERGIC. | IL
Shelley Miller | My daughter and I both have asthma. When we were forced to switch inhalers we both noticed we were not getting ANY relief. When she comes to me with problems breathing my automatic rely is lets use your inhaler. Which makes her cry because she knows "IT DOES NOT WORK" (her words). What are we supposed to do now that we do not have working Rescue Inhalers? | MO

Erika Oliver | Leave the CFC inhalers available to improve the quality of life for many asthma patients. | WI
Sandra Davitt | We have a right to breathe. I am very pro-Green but I am also pro-Life! Restore the CFC inhalers! The small amount of CFC produced by asthma inhalers is not what is depleating the ozone; this is insane and unfair. | PA
Anonymous | ProAir simply is ineffective to the extreme. I feel absolutely no relief after using this or other HFA' canisters. I heard being able to breathe is kind of cool and you know, important. | AZ
Ryan | This is nuts ! People will die if this really goes through ! These new inhalers do not work ! For the sake of human lives bring the old inhalers back! Christie Robinson who signed this petition IS ALLERGIC TO THE ETHANOL BASED PROPELLENT IN THE NEW INHALERS, DEADLY ALLERGIC SHE CAN'T EVEN USE THE INHALERS ANYMORE! | CA

Michael Murphy | I am 23 years old and have had asthma since I was 8 years old. My asthma, for the last ten years, has been manageable. Low and behold since being forced to use Proair HFA and my asthma has become no longer manageable. I almost called for an ambulance yesterday morning due to an attack. It took over six puffs to bring the attack down. If I had used a CFC inhaler two puffs, maybe three, would have brought that attack in check. I am now paying more than twice as much for something that works twice as less. I no longer feel safe going about my daily life due to this inferior product and, quite frankly, I fear for my life. | MA

Anonymous | My son's asthma attact was worse using the new inhaler. I'm afraid to use it because I am alergic to sulfides. | OH
David Cole | The larger sources of pollutants should be dealt with first. CFCs in inhaler devices are harmless by comparison. | MN
JessicaAnders | I have had asthma for the past ten years and I have been using the cfc inhalers.with out my cfc inhaler I can't breath.this morning I woke with an asthma attack, and when I used the new HFA inhaler it felt like I could'nt breath at all.so the fha inhaler s are not working. I have never had a problem with the cfc inhalers.the cfc inhalers helped me to breath I don't know why they would force me to take an inhaler that does'nt help at all .now when I use the hfa sulfateI not only have problems breathying out but also in.I just want the old cfc inhalers back so I can breath again.the HFA sulfat is in a powder form.now my question is how can inhaling HFA sulfate powder help an asthmatic patient such as my self and millions of other asthmatic patients to breath.I mean when you are changing a babys diaper and you put powder on them you are supost to keep the powder from the baby face because it wiil suficate the baby.stop suficating the asthmatic patients and alloy us to have air.all that hfa is,is a money making sceemand it is dangous to use.my asthma has worsened ,and the symtoms from USING the hfaProair is DEADLY. | FL
maureen | I have tried 3 different inhalers, not of my choosing. My perscription was for CFC Albuterol inhaler and Walgreens gave me ProAir.They told me It was a new brand. I didn't think anything of it ,since I use to get a Warwick and then Armstrong Which Armstrong was slightly different than Warwickback then. Well I had an attack and the Warwick did nothing. thank God I still had my CFC inhaler by Armstrong..In the intrum I've tried Symbicort whick doesn't work and the Warning scares the HELL out of me "This medicine WILL NOT STOP AN ASTHMA ATTACK Once One Has Started. Now I have Proventil whick makes me cough till I throw up.Now I am on methylprednisolone 4mg dosepak which I usually don't need unless I get very sick. I think I'll be walking aroound with my nebulizer which I don't use unless I'm very sick. Please bring back my inaler I need to breathe again!!!!!!!! | NY
Suzanne G. Milliron | | OH
Anonymous | I am in desperate need of my old inhaler. I have had asthma for 37 years; Proventil does NOTHING, Armstrong takes twice as many puffs as my old Warwick or Ventolin (the best). PLEASE do something for us--we are not using this for beauty (like hairspray) or fun (like spray paint). Breathing is a requirment of life; not an option. | NY

Michael Dombrow | My condition has worsened with the new inhaler. Previously an exercised-induced asthmatic, now it's all the time. | VA

Daphne Warrick | | CA
Doreen Longo | Why is the federal government going to outlaw such a good drug for a bogus drug that will jeopardize many many asthema suffers? | NJ
Anonymous | HFA doesn't relieve symptoms and cost 3 times as much. A puff to save my life is different than a bottle of hairspray. I want my CFC inhaler back because it works, lasts longer and I use less. | ID
Anonymous | Please consider that this is not a luxury is the necessity of life to be able to breathe. Please restore the old inhalers to the patients that so despartely need them. | KY
Adam Montoya | I use an inhaler less than once a year, but when i need it, i NEED it. Having to pay three times the cost for a less effective inhaler is criminal. | NM
Jennifer Franco | | CA
Colleen Donlan | Doesn't any of the people who put the ban into affect have asthma or know anyone who depends on these life saving inhalers? Are they watching their love ones suffer and gasp for air? PLEASE lift the ban on these, our lives depend on them. I am so scared to try the new ones for fear I know they are not going to work and that means I know it is only a matter of time before I have an attack that cant be controlled and I die. Do you know what it is like to live in fear of this? Please LISTEN to the millions that are telling you they do not work !!!!!!! | IA
Anonymous | Doesn't seem like it works much at all - now I have a dry cough instead | MD
Debbie Morris | I do not get immediate relief from the new HFC albuterol inhaler as I did with the old CFC inhaler. In fact, I cannot feel any relief at all from the new inhaler until I have used 2-3 times the recommended number of puffs. I have tried two different brands. Please bring back the old inhalers. It is frightening not to be able to breathe well. | NC

Anonymous | What good are inhalers that don't work when you really need them?? | OH
Anonymous | I have lived with asthma my entire life and have been switched to the HFA inhaler my asthma has since gotten much worse. Simply because the HFA gives me little to no relief for my symptoms. I am left struggling to catch a breath. Please, and I say that as a honest plea, Please don't take the one medication we can count on away! | MI
Jennifer Thompson | | NE
Cinthia Albers | I am appalled that something so necessary for so many people can be even throught of as a threat. Imagine sitting up in the middle of the night fighting for your breath and having nothing there to help. That is what is being asked of us. Stop this nonsense now!!!! | NE
Deborah and David Gorenstein, PhD | Deborah is an asthmatic and when taking the new albuterol HFA for the first time ended up in an emergency room for adverse reaction to this medication. She never had any adverse reaction to the CFC version. As a chemist (David) there is absolutely no logic in removing a compound such as CFC which makes such a small contribution to the ozone problem ( | TX
Kay Malkasian | I cannot breathe since my inhaler was switched. The Warwick inhaler worked for me for many years. Now when I start wheezing and try using the new inhalers I get a bad cough and I am much worse. I cannot live with my Warwick inhaler. I am scared and having panic attacks. This is insanity! Someone please help us. | MA
Anonymous | This new medication ProAir HFA does not work and it also tastes horrible.I feel worse after using this inhaler. | MA
