Grace BidnyThe new inhalers just don't work. It makes my breathing worse. Please, please, please bring back the old inhalers so I can breath.IL
Renee BoucherHFA inhalers will KILL ME as I am allergic to ethanol and the propellants in them, give me back my CFC!!!!!TX
AnonymousHaving several family & friends with asthma, I stand with them against the ban on the CFC Albuterol inahlers.NJ

Karen MartinI have never had a problem with inhalers containing cfc's. With the new HFA inhalers, I seem to be using my inhaler10/12x daily with no relief. Please help us get back our rescue inhalers that will really and truly RESCUE you if you need it!!!!OH
EFocus on the real polluters in this world-not people who need their medicines!TX
P BeckertPlease do not change the medicine it works well.TX
Cameron HannanI have used Albuterol my entire life. This summer when I went for a refill (I have attacks in summer) and got this new HFA inhaler. I had an attack last night and was forced to go to the Emergency Room because it did nothing. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the old CFC inhalers, I feel terrible!CT
Nancy J. AndersonI knew from the first inhalatin of the ProAir HFA(albuteral sulfate) that my life was in great jeparady because it just didn't work! I did'nt know too much then as the doctors and pharmacists were either too busy or lazy to become informed about what had transpired or they are part of the complicity by default! They seem to "play dumb" and won't even admit to knowledge that a huge problem exists! THIS ISSUE IS ABOUT POLITICS, MONEY, AND MILLIONS OF HUMAN LIVES!!! I could go on and on, but simply put, the ProAir HFA causes me to experience rapid heart beats and does absolutely no good at all! I feel that my life is in great danger ! The miniscule amount of atmospheriic polution caused by priming or using a CFC inhalant cannot possibly justify taking away its life saving properties that millions of people depend on! THINK - IT PRIMARILY GOES INTO THE LUNGS, NOT THE ATMOSPHERE! And to think we haven't banned the use of gasoline automobiles, whose polluting exhaust can be clearly seen and felt by everyone! (And the factories, of course, etc, etc.) Please immediately remove the ban of CFCs!!!!!AZ
TomI just tried the new HFA inhaler and I am experiencing dry throat, sore throat, dry cough, lethargy and anxiety all of which have lasted the whole day so far, I have used the CFCs for most of my life and never once experienced such symptoms. The HFA requires more puffs for relief and does not act as quickly as the CFC, I also paid double the price and the canister is smaller. This is a money making scheme, don't believe the lies.NY
mary beckertplease bring back the old inhalersNJ
AnonymousThe Proventil HFA did not work during an asthma attack....attacks continued over several days and I got NO response at all. I still had a CFC albuterol which saved me a trip to the ER...bring back the CFC's!OR

AnonymousIf people are injured or die either now or in the future by the ineffectiveness of this new type of inhaler, lawsuits will be filed because the manufactuer would have had constructive notice of the inadequacy if this medical device. Do you wish to pay huge settlements because of this? Weren't these things tested first by an asthmatic or someone who knows what they're doing?????IL
Marissa AlexanderThe HFA inhalers caused me to have heart palpitations and a bad headache. It made my asthma feel worse! I was afraid to sleep the night I used the inhaler. I need the CFC inhalers to live!NJ
Bob BurnsThe new inhalers are not as effective an you don't get the puffs from it that you should get. Plus it's twice as much. I'm worried about it not being effective. I drive the elderly around, and need this medication to work when I need it. Change it back.OR
AnonymousMy old inhaler us to work great and I could always depend on it. Now I’ve been forced to change to a higher dose inhaler which is not considered a generic inhaler in order to get relief.PA
JenniferI cannot provide the care I would like to as a new mother to my baby. My asthma which I cannot control any longer is stealing that away from me. I want to breathe, I want to sleep through the night, I want my rescue inhaler to work for me. I cannot live like this please don't take my inhaler!FL
AnonymousThe Pro Air HFA is a horrible product.! It burns my throat and chest and tastes terrible. Most of all, it is ineffective at relieving my asthma. It causes my chest to tighten and feel worse. I was actually prescribed Atrovent before the new ProAir. Ithought the Atrovent tasted horrible, but didn't really think that much about it until I tried to ProAir Albuterol and had the same nasty taste and burning in my throat. Then the tightness in my chest began.IL
Joseph MalekovicAfter yrs. of having my asthma under control and enjoying alot of activities including basketball, walking, and playing with my 4 children, suddenly 2 months ago my life was thrown into turmoil by the switch to HFA inhalors, THEY DO NOT WORK. just walking to the car or to the back yard or trying to sleep has become impossible and has me gasping for air.IN
Laura KerstingI just tried the new Proair this week. It is NOT effective in relieving my asthma. And the taste of it brings to mind the over the counter inhalers that I used to take before getting Warrick inhalers. I would not be surprised if this is what we're getting- the useless over the counter inhalers at a grossly inflated price.LA
ShallonPeople need these inhalers for a reason, that is why they were developed. Please don't take their life away.UT

Justin RanerHFA inhalers are terrible. It is a grossly inferior product and when you consider it's purpose, *IT* should be the one banned, not the other.WA

Steven HolguinI dislike the new HFA inhalers very much...... This law is such BS!!! I guess the asthma lobby is just not as strong as the chemical, oil, or auto lobby..... They can pollute all they want, but a tiny amount of CFCs is released from our inhalers and they go away that quickly.....CA

Anonymoustried all the hfa inhalers, THEY DON"T WORK !!! my well being and life are at serious risk with this switch I'm 44 yrs. old and my asthma has been under control for yrs. now I gasp for air just sitting or walking to the bathroom. My life as known is for now over, can't enjoy my children or anything else. I've got ANOTHER DR. appt. todayIN
eric ericksonthe new propellent doesn't work. in short, thousands of people will be left without emergency help.WI
Amy GinderThis is terrifying and absolutely stupid. The same country that refused to sign the Kyoto Treaty and still functions as the world's biggest polluter is now banning asthma inhalers to "protect" our environment? Give me a break. Asthma is terrifying & debilitating enough to those who have it. Eliminating access to proven treatments that helps us live a normal lifestyle is simply cruel.NV
AnonymousI have been using my expired Albuterol CFC inhaler because even being 4-months expired still works better than my new non-CFC Proventil HFA inhaler. I need to take three times as much of the non-CFC in order to feel any effect. It feels like I simply cannot take a deep enough breath to get it all into my lungs. I always feel my CFC inhaler working immediately, on the first puff - now I take 3 puffs and still feel like I'm choking... Great petition! I hope it makes a difference, I'm sure there will only be more and more asthmatics showing up in our country as time goes on, and I hope that we can help secure a healthy future for all of us.CA
Daniel HoranI started on Pro Air HFA and instantly had a reaction. I had heart flutters, couldn't catch my breathe at all and was just worn down. Turns out this new inhaler absorbs more of the medication into your lungs so if you use it like you use your CFC, basically you are overdosing on Albuterol. I've cut my puffs in half and have reduced some of the reactions, but still am out of breath for some reason. These inhalers may be great for the environment, but humans, terrible. Not sure why the FDA would do this to us asthmatics, most likely money though.....IL

Luke Milam, LaPlease, for the love of fukking god, please allow the use of CFC inhalers. The HFA's are absolute junk. THEY DO NOT WORK and most of the time just get me sick. I have to carry around a god damn nebulizer breathing treatment machine everywhere I go now. This is fukking rediculous, give us back our god damn medicine!!!!!!!!!!!!!LA
AnonymousI have had asthma since I was SIX MONTHS OLD. I am now in my late 20's and my asthma WAS under control. Now, without the use of my CFC propelled inhaler, I am using the new HFA inhaler MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY with NO RELIEF. Imagine not being able to BREATHE in the dead of summer in the heat of New York City!! PLEASE HELP US bring our trusted inhalers back!NY

Amanda DeanI just used my HFA inhaler for my asthma, and now I"m coughing up blood. I had to find an old expired CFC inhaler just so I could breathe again. I feel awful right now. I'm shakey and nauseous, and I have a terrible headache now. Please don't ban our CFC inhalers! HFA is going to kill people!AL

AnonymousMy daughter and husband have asthma and need the older kind of inhalers to breathe. It is unacceptable that these are no longer available and functioning at work may be compromised.NY
AnonymousI have been an allergy sufferer for more than 15 years. I used to get occasional asthma during heavy activity. However, for the last 2 years, the chronic allergies have turned into asthma. I've tried Advair, other maintenance medications, even proventil HFA. Thanks to a wonderful pharmacist who is still carrying the albuterol CFC, I can get through this season. However, I am scared of what I will be dealing with next year. Please do not eliminate CFC inhalers! I know I don't want to diminish my quality of life because of someone else's ignorance.MI
