AnonymousPlease don't take away our better (cfc) meds. It is so unfair and unreasonable to target asthmatics.AK
Allan RobinsonThe new inhalers simply don't work. People with asthma may die as a result of this foolish switch. LISTEN TO THE PATIENTS!NV
Chris LawsonI have been an asthma sufferer since about the age of 3..... I was prescribed Proventil as a child. I BECAME ADDICTED TO THIS INHALER!!!!! As a young child I was an addict using this FDA approved drug. 1 inhaler gone within 2 weeks. Primatine Mist saved my damn life when I was about 14 or 15 years of age. I currently do not use it as much as that prescribed crap & I breathe A WHOLE HELL OF A LOT BETTER NOW BECAUSE OF PRIMATINE MIST!!!!! THANK YOU PRIMATINE MIST!!!! PLEASE WE PLEAD ANY & ALL TO HELP US SAVE OUR INHALERS!!!!! WE NEED THEM!!!! OUR LIVES..... OUR HUMANITY..... DEPEND ON THESE THINGS!!!!!!MO
PaulThis many people can't be lying. I KNOW my Warrick albuterol brand works much better and faster than this third-world garbage. I'm sure if Al Gore had asthma like I do this would not be of concern to global warming. My trip to work this morning will do more damage to the environment than a lifetime supply of cfc albuterol.NC
Jennifer SachseMO
Scott HumesPlease leave the CFC inhalers on the market. I am scared for my wife's life after reading the complaints. So far we still have enough CFC inhalers to keep her alive, but that will change once she uses them or they expire.TX

Heather T HumesHow am I supposed to pay for these new inhalers. I have a difficult enough time trying to pay for my medicine and food for my children.TX
sally klinehiya folks!... my son'n'me both suffer from asthma and for the past few days my son can barely breathe and gets no relief at all from the new hfa albuterol sulfate inhaler... gotta call the doctor again this mornin' to make another appointment for him as his breathing is so labored that he can't even get much sleep let alone get around very well etc... the only thing these new inhalers are good for is to take away even more breath!... inept inhalers don't rescue anything!... we need medicine that actually works!... it's just so uncaring'n'unfair to let folks suffer so!... please bring back those old inhalers that really do help!... a neat dawn'n'on'a breathables to each'n'all!... :)PA
AnonymousThe HFA inhalers are not as effective as the CFC inhalers. They do not deliver a consistant dosage and they clog much more frequently.VA
Damn Al GoreThe new inhalers don't work period. They are overpriced and there has been a rise in asthmatic exacerbation in the emergency rooms. People are dying!NM
Nancy J. KernsI have severe asthma leading to COPD. I have found the "new" inhalers to be ineffective and worse the "powder delivery" causes major side effects from thrush, to total voice loss, to stomach upset, to lactose intolerance reactions. Please bring back the old inhalers. I can't believe our little dose in total effects the world's environmental conditions compared to industry and automotive pollution. So please, for our lives, bring the old ones backIL
jason tschidaPlease bring the old inhalers back. The new ones just are NOT the same.MN
Niraj ShahMO
Courtney AdamsPlease don't get rid of these... My sister needs them to live!TX
Sarah GrahamThe new HFA inhalor I have is not as effective at all. In fact, one night in May I had a severe attack and the HFA inhalor actually made me worse. I had to go to my grandad's house and use his nebulizer, otherwise I would have wound up in the hospital!OH
Darlene WeigelI just received my Pro-air inhaler. I hate it. I am 35 years old and have always had asthma. I was using Albuteral and Ventolin inhalers and although bad for the environment, they kept me breathing. Pro-Air does not work as effectively. it is supposed to be a rescue inhaler and yet it is not completely helping. It subsides my attack but does not stop them.NY
Marge AThe new inhalers do NOT WORK. I have serious breathing problems - my life is now in danger. Just like we had to have Ronald Reagan develop Alzheimers before Nancy got on the bandwagon with her politico friends and actors, supporting needed research and trying to change laws, we need a politician whose kid is suffering or who has died TO HELP THIS CAUSE. I am handing a copy of this info to my doctor - everyone should do the same - remember the drug companies buy off the doctors by running contests and awarding trips and the hospitals they work for also receive awards - the drug companies track it all - and it's the drug companies feeding them the lines about the environment - and seeing the additional profit. Someone else wrote if Al Gore had asthma - there would be an exception to the bill - they are right! We can change things if we unite - look at the Obama run! Yes we canIL
Aimee AdamsI miss my mother. Her life has changed dramatically without her inhaler. Until the ban, she lived a normal and very active life. She was an athlete. Now, she has to be very careful not to trigger an asthma attack. Al Gore has no conscience. This is all about his ego and his bank account. He has effectively handicapped millions of people. God have Mercy on his soul. Worse, so many people support him despite the FACT that he does not practice what he preaches. Show me the PROOF!!!PA
Paul GoodridgeCFC inhalers have absolutely zero negative effect on the ozone layer and should therefore not have been banned by any treaty whatsoever, especially one which had been propounded by those same idiots who want to limit any kind of nation-saving oil exploration. These folks are smothering us, literally, both healthwise and dollarwise. I proudly sign this petition.FL
Heidi DryerMI
Louise Clarke StoneI have chronic asthma since childhood. For the last 15 years I have been inhaler-dependent. I found that the Warwick inhaler was prescribed and effective for my use. During extreme periods of asthma suffering I must use the nebulizer but carrying the equipment on business trips, commuting by train for work and such, adds to additional "national security" issues and scrutiny from uninformed screeners. After this recent asthma episode, I contacted my primary physician for updating my CFC inhaler supply. The new HFA inhaler is ineffective. I am not over-reacting or being dramatic about an already dire situation: the HFA inhaler is like nothing. The anxiety when one is in the throes of an asthma attack is maximized and then to get no relief from one's physician-prescribed "rescue inhaler" turns the event to life-threatening. Please acknowledge that the use of CFC inhalers is the ONLY effective way to handle asthma at this time. Do not outlaw the CFC rescue inhalers and abandon asthma victims to certain death. To abandon us is irresponsible and in direct violation of your sole purpose.CA
Ezekiel RudickI too am getting the cfc inhalers from out of the country. I don't like doing it but if the US wont take care of it's asthmatics then I'll have to just do it myself.WA
AnonymousI have noticed that since using the inhalers (HFA) I am using a lot more of it. It is expensive and I cannot keep refilling these things. Sometimes I do consider if this is a ploy by the industires in making more moeny. I would like to think not, but would not be surprised. I agree I want my cfc inhalers back now. I am so glad I found this page I honeslty thought it was in my head that this inhaler was not working.AK
Brett RagarI recently had my inhaler changed to the hfa version of albuterol. It did not work nearly as well as the cfa version of the inhaler. When I found that I could get the cfa version until the end of year I have been hoarding them for the future. Please end this silliness!WA
Thomas MyersI'm accustomed to paying 27 dollars for my girlfriend's safe and effective albuterol inhaler. Now this new one costs twice as much, it causes anxiety (she has anxiety disorder), is less than half as effective, causes rashes in people with sensitive skin and uses a known cancer causing agent in it's formula.FL
Joyce CeccarelliThese HFA inhalers do not work and have terrible side effects!CT
Korrie MorrisI really hate this. I went in just a couple of weeks ago to discover that I were to no longer receive my regular cfc proventil rescue inhaler, but a pro-air cfc free. I am an ACUTE ASTHMATIC and have been taking this since I was 4. This new CFC FREE pro air inhaler DOES NOT WORK. My lungs cannot get enough AIR. This has to stop.OR
Terry SniderI remember when the albuterol MDI came on the market. It was a godsend to a life long asthmatic. The replacement inhalers are crap. The Montreal Protocol is just an excuse for the drug companies to charge non generic prices for second rate inhalers for a drug that has helped so many of us. It's all about big money doing whatever it can to make more at anyone's expense.WA
AnonymousIt should be criminal to force inferior, non-functional medication on the public at 3-4 times the price, while eliminating the old CFC inhalers which comparatively speaking emitted an almost inconsequential amount of CFC into the environment. This is a major political misunderstanding and needs to be reversed!CO
barb schroederAs someone who has friends and loved ones with asthma, I would like to add my name to those requesting the return of the CFC inhaler.CA
R.Brian TannerI have to wonder if any in this party to eliminate MDIs has ever had a child almost die before reaching their inhalant in time??????TX
AnonymousMN
Valerie MisNY
AnonymousWhy do you hate Asthma patients? Do you like to see us suffer?NY
Nancy CaswellMy daughter has used the new HFA inhalers with dismal results. This is an outrage for the millions of asthma and copd patients.NV
AnonymousHFA's are dangerous. CFC's are more effective, safer, and since the erroneous claim that they harm the atmosphere has been disproven, demonstrates that CFC's should be available immediately to those of us who already suffer from life threatening illnesses.CA
ValerieI have tried everything that we are being left with and NONE of them work for me. My lungs don't clear and some of them actually make me more congested. This ban will cause the death of many people.AK
AnonymousMT
Dala FoundsTypical of the drug companies and the FDA. Always looking out best for someone other than the patient. Doesn't suprise me at all.OH
TheaWhat has humanity become? Slice of your nose to spite your face??? It is time for a reality check. Why are we letting ppl suffer when it can be avoided? Who will be responsible? Or better yet, WHO will take responsibility for this? .... I don't see anyone standing up or raising there hand... hmm... wonder why... NOT... quit thinking in $$ and start thinking with compasion and what IS the right and proper thing to do!!! gosh dern it!!!!MT
John Sweeneyplease dont get rid of PM. It works best for me.TN
Wendy RoseIt is ridiculous to take these inhalers away unless there is an equivalent replacement to help the people that need this medication.OH
Joe HarrisWithout Primatene Mist I am basically going to be at the mercy of a doctor.... I will be unable to walk across the street and get asthma medicine and instead will have to get a perscription from a doctor... this will destroy my life as it is, and taking this medicine off the market will basically put me in a state of permanent disability..... just when you thought it couldn't get worse..... us asthma patience don't have to worry about the atmosphere and CFC's becuase we can't breathe already, and Primatene mist is one of the ways that we can at least have a somewhat normal life. This is horrible.OK
NAHPlease do not get rid of this inhaler. My son has used it since he was just a small boy. He has a lot of asmatha attacks. We almost lost him a few times. Primatene Mist has always worked better for my son than the drug brands. Please don't take it off the market.OK
DJ HoffmanSUVs, Hummers, private & commercial jets...those no one bans. The inhalers are what Government has decided to ban to crack down on saving the ozone? Ridiculous. These don't work at all. Bring back the CFC already!!!!!!!FL
Von LawrencePlease use reason and end some of this suffering. Thank youNE
