This is ridiculous. | CT |
| 2206 | gerald phegley | Last year they tried to change my inhaler to the proventil HFC and I ended up in the emergency room for an albuterol treatment. I could not breathe.
Then they finally put me back on the Warrick Albuterol inhaler and I could breathe again. I am
using the Advair Inhaler but it is a slow acting
medicine and when I have an attack, I can't
breathe without the CFC inhaler and am just like a fish out of water. I just wish that these people in charge of making these decisions for others without considering the effects that they have on
these persons life and breathing capabilities should be faced with someone else making similar decisions affecting them and see how they
respond with the life challenges that are placed on them.. Forget the CFC ban until such time that they find an answer that works for ALL PERSONS THAT
NEED RELIEF. By the way, I never heard anything about this ban going in effect until tonight...no advertising that I was aware of what-so-ever. | IN |
| 2207 | Anthony Low | I don't have asthma myself, but I think it is unconscionable that asthma sufferers should die for a questionable and at best minuscule effect on the environment. | VT |

| 2209 | Trevor Majors | My wife NEEDS good inhalers. The new inhalers are crap. We self insure as well so getting a hit from about $12 to $60 per inhaler for crap is stupid and outrageous.
These new inhalers are downright DANGEROUS to people with asthma. Bring the old ones back. | ID |
| 2210 | Kathryn Reed | | FL |
| 2211 | Sean McKenna | | TN |
| 2212 | Tamara Wilhite | It is criminal to ban inhalers that work for inhalers that do not work in the name of environmental extremism. Every child that dies of asthma from this ruling is a murder charge against those who value the planet more than its people.
I am the mother of a son diagnosed with asthma at 1 year old. | TX |
| 2213 | Anonymous | I use these daily, and will not be able to live without them. Please do not ban these as they serve a VERY valuable purpose. | NV |

| 2215 | Anonymous | These new inhalers are terrible!!! I have found that instead of the usual 1 or 2 puffs to TRULY control my asthma symptoms, I actually end up using 4 times as much! The ProAir HFA is terrible. With the first usage I found I kept wheezing and coughing, and the previous generic albuterol would have ended the problem with 1 or 2 puffs. I end up using so much (which of course is bad) the inhaler won't last an entire month, but have no choice if I want to breathe. I have been forced to go back to using a nebulizer in addition to the inhaler to get relief, and also have an additional inhaler with a steroid just to keep my airways open. This NEVER happened in all the years (20) I have used the CFC inhalers. It's fine if people suffocate from asthma as long as we "protect the environment". Shouldn't we come first? Thanks, you environmental NAZIS! | IL |
| 2216 | Linda Joseph | This is so wrong. Please bring these inhalers back . People's life depend on these. My life depends on these. | SC |
| 2217 | Linda Hansen | My HFA inhaler is not nearly as effective as my CFC inhaler was. Please bring back the CFC inhaler. You should not do anything to hinder asthmatics' right to breathe. Our lives are in your hands. Any of our deaths caused from not being able to access the best medicine for us will be upon your heads. | AZ |
| 2218 | Anonymous | | TX |
| 2219 | Anonymous | The new HFA inhalers don't work as well as the old inhalers did. They cost twice as much and do half the job. | AL |
| 2220 | Ruth Carlson | The powdered powered inhalers are horrid. They are expensive, have a moisture problem, and are an inferior product. Spray three times on your hand and you will get a burn--what is up with that? I have a dry cough and just keep coughing with people asking if I am ok. Taste for food is not the same and my mouth is very sensitive. Fungus develops. one inhaler costs over $140 and only has 120 puffs--the old one had 220. I need two or more puffs a day. More people will die because of the products being so expensive and not working as well as the old ones. This is wrong and an affront to sick people. Shame on Congress and the FDA!! | MN |
| 2221 | Anonymous | as we have seen lately, there is no manmade g.w. we may be entering a cooling phase, we need our inhalers, especially as they have no effect compared to industrial pollution in china and other countries, we are not your slaves, and you will find that out sooner or later. | WA |
| 2222 | Carol Piel | Please use common sense and keep these inhalers available for those that desperately need them.
It is unthinkable that these life-saving products would be removed for an unproven environmental hoax. | MO |
| 2223 | frank cafolla | How on earth are these affecting the ozone layer when they are being inhaled into our lungs ? | NJ |
| 2224 | Anonymous | Obviously proponents of this have never suffered from asthma or watched their children suffer with this disease. | MI |
| 2225 | George R Jones | | NC |
| 2226 | Michael | Please Save The CFC Inhalers - My wonderful wife of 28 years who is only 57 suffers enough with her lung disease without having to face the world next year without a rescue inhaler to carry with her. She is allergic to the HFA Propellant. | OH |
| 2227 | Anonymous | I have had 2 episodes of asthmatic bronchtis, and was given the Pro Air HFA inhaler. I used to use one puff of my albuterol inhaler and that would help for 6 hours. I have been using 2 puffs of the new ones every 4 hours and have had hardly any relief.
This is very scary and I have had to go on antibiotics both times . | CA |
| 2228 | Donnie Stone | | GA |
| 2229 | matt gerard | | MN |
| 2230 | Robert E. McClearen | CFC inhalers work for me; HFA inhalers do not work for me. My pharmacist told me that his customers are complaining bitterly about the new HFA inhalers and I thought the first HFA inhaler I was given was a failure and a manufacturing defect. IT WAS NOT. IT JUST DIDN'T HAVE THE SAME STRONG PRESSURE TO FORCE THE DRUG INTO MY LUNGS DURING A ROUTINE ASTHMA ATTACK I HAD. The FDA's superficial approval of the HFA inhalers is a travesty for millions of asthmatics in this country. A medical exception should be made to restore the life-saving HFC inhalers to the American market. I'm going to write my Senators and Congressman and let them know what the FDA has done to us; you should do the same. | NC |
| 2231 | Lisa Currie | They help millions! They work! | SC |
| 2232 | Erin Stone | I hope this petition works. Why do they think this is a good thing to change our emergency inhalers. I NEED this and can not use the other (newer) inhaler. Emergency means EMERGENCY when you can not breath it is very scary, i finally have my asthma under control i do not need to start ending back in ER again! Leave the albrutor alone and do not change it. who are you people to make such a decision. there is no global warming, the earth has seasons of change you just have not been alive long enough to live through them because it takes more than a life time to see it. back off the asthma medicine. like I said who the hell do you think you are! | PA |
| 2233 | Stacy Gore | It is hard enough as a parent to manage a child's asthma. Why take away a medication that has proven time and time again to save the life of millions of people. The peace of mind that knowing I can rescue my son with his current inhaler is a major advantage to me. I do not wish to add the burden of worrying whether or not a new inhaler will adequately "do the job". I urge the FDA to please rethink this decision | NC |
| 2234 | dana | the new inhalers are dung. they do NOT work.
it takes about 5-6 puffs to get any relief and the inhalers last half the time.how is something going into my lungs hurting the damn enviornment?they cost too much and THEY DO NOT WORK.
does someone have to die before theese retards realize this is a stupid move banning them? | KY |
| 2235 | Anonymous | I am allergic to albuterol and can only take Maxair. Once it is gone, I will suffer and finally die from asthma or heart problems caused by the hfa inhalers. I cannot take steroids. Please allow cfc inhalers to be made and sold to people like me. I can't believe theinhalers are destroying the ozone layer. Please save my life. Thank you | KY |
| 2236 | Rhonda Freeman | | PA |
| 2237 | Byron Beyer | I have used OTC inhalers for over 40 years, since I was a child, Primatene Mist has always worked for controlling my asthma. I tried Albuterol when it first came out, and it did not work. Primatene works for me. If you take Primatene Mist away, you are going to KILL PEOPLE! THIS MUST NOT HAPPEN! I currently have NO insurance and NO doctor. I use Primatene when my asthma kicks in, and to take that away from me would be a DEATH SENTENCE. This is just another example of "Big Pharma" and "Big Govt" deciding what's best for "everyone" in order to LINE THEIR OWN POCKETS. This is WRONG! DO NOT "OUTLAW" OTC inhalers! | TX |
| 2238 | Anonymous | this is absolutely ridiculous
but let me guess cigarettes will continue to stay on the market...why are the people in this country who come up with these idiotic schemes so back assward??? | NJ |
| 2239 | Anonymous | Please bring back CFC Proventil, Ventolin or Albuterol.. I do not know what I will do when the ban takes place. I tried the Proventil HFA and it made me cough and wheeze. It does not work. I am panic stricken about being with out CFC spray. Why should anyone have to go through this in 2008 in the USA. | FL |
| 2240 | Nan Jacobs | | PA |

| 2242 | Tom Schreckengast | | PA |
| 2243 | a calling | | CT |
| 2244 | Erin Jane Bonner | PLEASE HELP!! From a severe asthma sufferer we need these inhalers, they are much more effective. I was born with asthma, should I have to suffer because you are trying to "save the environment"...its just not fair! HELP! | OH |
| 2245 | Vernon Meador | | MD |
| 2246 | Laura Reichartz | My experience with ProAir HFA was horrendous!!! I could not breath. I went through a canister a week, and at $50.00 per canister, compared to the $10.00 cfc albuterol, I was literaly FORCED to stay home close to my nebulizer, because the ProAir could, and did NOT rescue me. Please re-instate the albuterol inhalers that actually get the working medicine into the lungs rather than just in your mouth like ProAir. Laura Thompson-Reichartz | WI |

| 2249 | Lisa Loeffler | Unbelievable how our goverment can make millions of people suffer needlessley. I can not use the new inhalers and have ti hunt to find primetene mist which sells out as soon as it hits the shelves..Somebody has to help us pulmonary sufferers, and quickly! | FL |
| 2250 | April Wallace | I was hospitalized for the first time in 11 years froma an asthma attack that could heave been prevented from the CFC inhalers. During the course of 2007 I visited the doctor 7 times and was prescribed prednisone 4 times including on 21 day regemine for wheezing that would not go away. All in all last year i have the most problems I have ever had controlling my asthma in years. The HFA inhalers are useless. If a patient is having an asthma attack , it is impossible to inhale deep enough to inhale the weak spray emitted by these inhalers. I am already seeking represntation for a lawsuit against the companies that make these inhalers due to the frequent medical problems I have had with them. | FL |
