| 152 | These new inhalers just do not work. They are not delivering the goods. When you depend on them for "rescue" that's a big deal.
Come on, we all know this is political. How about going after the steel plant in my neighborhood which was fined for letting millions of toxins into the air illegally, a mere slap on the wrist, and give us back the medicine we need so badly. | OH |
| 153 | I have been medically retired from the US Navy at 60% disability due to my development of severe asthma. Just as my treatment and post service care plan begins, the inhaler which dynamicly effects of my quality of life for the better, is ripped from my hands. Instead I must pay double for a delivery system for my medication (HFA inhaler) that works about as well as breathing through a straw. I have put myself in harms way for nearly a decade for a government that will allow CFC in industrial bee repelent and photographic/mirror cleaning supplies, but bans them from life saving medical equipment. I am angry to say the least. Return the favor of my volunteer service, restart the production of the CFC MDI and help me rebuild my life one breath at a time. | NY |
| 154 | I used the Serevent inhaler along with my Proventil inhaler for two years. I felt great for the first time in years I could breath. I can no longer get Serevent (only in powder which is useless same as Advair) and now my Proventil is no longer available. Between the powder Serevent and Proventil HFA I have zero energy, I can't catch my breath. What is the plan? We need these inhalers to LIVE. Or maybe that is the plan. | MN |
| 155 | I've been using the new ProAir inhaler for about 4 months, and have not had one day without wheezing. It is totally ineffective for me. | OR |

| 157 | WHO can help us get back our old inhalers so we can breath? Do we have to wait until a quota is made watching people die? Why do we have to watch children who have an asthma attack die because these so called "same ingredient" medications don't work. The athletes that will die from asthma attacks while the world is watching them use our new inhalers that don't work? Why do people have to die to get anyone to listen? I am allergic to sulfa products. Why do they want us to inhale Ethanol? Advair does not work for me. We need the inhalers that can get into our lungs and WORK! How do we get FDA to bring back our inhalers that were good products without having people dying?? How tragic this is going to be and at what expense? It is only a matter of time before more people die from attacks now that our inhalers that work have been taken away. | SD |
| 158 | My daughter has severe asthma which was being somewhat controlled by the albuterol inhalers prior to the removal of the CFCs. Now, even with using Advair as a control, she is constantly having to use the non-CFC rescue inhaler. | OH | Anonymous |
| 159 | I don't even know why i buy the new MDI. I don't think it works at all. And it cost much more too. | FL |
| 160 | I've switched (against my wishes) to the Pro-Air inhaler, and find it LESS than adequate. I would love for the originally distributed albuterol inhalers to be brought back to the market. PLEASE let us breathe freely again. | OH |
| 161 | i have used both types of inhalers. the cfc-free inhalers DO NOT work nearly as well as the new hfa inhalers. i also work in a pharmacy, and literally EVERY customer that buys one of the new HFA inhalers, complains of the effectivness. | OR |

| 163 | I have used Primatene Mist for over 40 years with NO side affects at all and it is the only inhaler that works.
Doctors over the years have had me try all the others at a huge cost that DO NOT WORK. Please do not fool around with peoples health!!.
If people start dying because of this ban those responsible with be brought into litigation! | MA | Anonymous |

| 165 | CFC inhalers are lifesavers and are a critical treatment for an acute asthma attack. They work well and are affordable by those even with modest incomes. Please stop and reverse the withdrawal and banning of our CFC inhalers. | TX |

| 169 | I have asthma and so far, I have been able to find my usual inhaler at Wal-Mart and CVS pharmacies. The price difference is $4.00 generic to $50.00 for the HFA inhaler. I will have no choice but the go without my inhaler. My visit to the emergency room will be cheaper - as long as I make it there alive! | PA | Anonymous |

| 175 | Shame on the FDA, who is supposed to look after the health of Americans, to sacrifice them for supposed environmental benefits. | TN |
| 176 | These new inhalers do not work as well. Since the change over my asthma symptoms have gotten worse and I have to use the inhalers more often. | AZ | Anonymous |
| 177 | I have had asthma my entire life. I'm 25 years old and still require a rescue inhalor every day, usually multiple times a day. I've taken all kinds of steriods over the years but nothing has ever been as effective as good ol' proventil. And suddenly the inhalor I depend on every day just to keep breathing has been taken from me. And replaced with something half the size and half the effectiveness along with twice the price. These new HFA medications just do NOT work as well. I wish they did, because the environment is important, but they just don't. I struggle day in and day out just to function and I worry more now than I ever have about my asthma. Because I'm not sure if I get into trouble if my rescue inhalor could actually do it's job... | ID |
| 178 | I have been on asthma inhalers for years and now that you taking away my generic albuterol that costs me $15 dollars versus the very expensive ones this is outrageous!! I have no health insurance and can barely afford the generic and then to tell me that I am going to have to pay triple or quad triple. I would not be able to afford them period!! | MO |
| 179 | Proventil absolutely does not work as well as the old Albuterol. It actually scares me that it I will need to depend on it in the future. | MN | Anonymous |
| 180 | Which memeber of the American Lung Association will be picking up my extra costs for my non CFC-inhalers?!? | WI |
| 181 | I am in graduate school currently taking a required internship. The hours of this internship has forced me to go part-time at my job. This does two things; 1) I lose my benefits (health insurance, etc.) 2) I lose money, and therefore I can't afford health insurance, make too much for medicaid, and won't be able to afford these new inhalers.
Also, I like to breath. These inhalers (as I have researched from the clinical trials when compared to the CFC inhalers) do not provide instant relief. I dont' know about you, but I enjoy breathing.
What wasnt' considerd with this 'phasing out' of the CFC inhalers, are the increase in death rates. As is with all albuterol inhalers, side effects include high blood pressure, vomitting and even heart attack. Stemming from the evidence of the clinical trials, and thousands of blogs on the internet about the HFA inhalers; people are getting poor results and are taking this inhaler on an increased basis. Doesn't this now increase the side effects?
I have a feeling a death is going to occur from this that will lead to a class action lawsuit against the drug companies that produce these inhalers. Do you want this? I have no idea; I guess it is based on which ones get sued that make campaign contributions.
Do not overlook the large population of asthmatics out there. The government is supposed to serve the PEOPLE, not the other way around | NY |

| 183 | My price has qudrupled for my albuterol inhaler and the effectiveness is MUCH less than with the CFC version. During an attack I have had to use the non-cfc albuterol hourly (recommended dose 4x a day) and was still suffering. It resulted in a trip to the clinic twice. | ND |
| 184 | As a United States Citizen I CALL UPON THE PRESIDENT AND THE CONGRESS to implement and enact the necessary executive orders, laws and rules, on an emergency basis, that will result in the fastest possible production and distribution of generic CFC Albuterol, and the repeal of 21 CFR 2.125 and all related rules. | NC |

| 186 | My 11 year-old son has asthma and has relied on the albuterol inhaler when his asthma get bad. He tells me that the new Pro-Air inhaler does nothing at all for him! | IL | Anonymous |
| 187 | No kidding as a child asthmatic I have had inhalers for 40 years now I am afraid to exercise
I cant make it up the three story building were I work they switched my inhaler 4 months ago now I’m being told that its me an how im using them! “We are”I hear “to breathe the powder into our lungs” my point to the doc was how if I cant breathe?
And the pharmacy said it was my fault I was to wash out the nozzle as it gets blocked and said that they have had no complaints for anyone else. | WA |
| 188 | Give us back our Albuterol! ProAir just plain DOES NOT WORK. | CA |

| 190 | I know someone that not only uses this inhaler, but depends on it. | TN |
| 191 | I am allergic to sulfa and therefore cannot take the new albuterol sulfate in the Proventil inhaler. What am I supposed to use | AR |
| 192 | Pro-air and all other HFA inhalers do not work for me and tend to either take twice as much or more to quell an attack or on several occasions have spured enirely different panic attacks. When not enough O2 gets to your brain it triggers panic and irrational behavior as part of ones survival instinct. I've been an EMT-B for 4 years and have seen these occurances in the feild as well. Hope this helps - it's the first online petition I've ever signed.

| 196 | Please return the use of the CFC Albuteral MDI. The loss of the theraputic effect of this medication will increase Healthcare cost in the U.S. There will be an increase in Emergency Department use as well as hospital admissions to treat Asthma related illness. I have grave concerns for my daughter, who has very serious Asthma. She has had to carry DME , a nebulizer that must be plugged into an electrical outlet to provide that medication is added to in order to achieve the theraputic effects of the compact, portable CFC containing Albuteral MDI that she has been able to relay on for most of her life. Her independence and quality of life are seriously hampered. Please reverse the decision to change the MDI Albuterol to beCFC free. | LA |
