| 105 | My mother, myself, as well as my children have asthma and rely on rescue inhalers. The CFC inhalers that we relied on were reliable and worked. We were able to lead normal lives. Since the "brilliant" invention of the "new" inhalers with no CFC, life has drastically changed. We now have been forced to alter our activities because of not having an effective rescue inhaler. How pathetic this is. When will this change??? Something has to be done for our life's sake!!!!!! | OH |

| 109 | I didn't even know that i was going to lose my inhaler until just recently - I too have tried the other inhalers that my doctor told me would work the same way - Well, it doesn't!! I have had Asthma since I was 7 years old and I am now 50 ~ the cfc inhaler is the only assistance that I have when I have an attack. I am very frightened. | OR |

| 111 | I was put on HFA inhalers after an auto accident and after YEARS of controlled asthma with CFC inhaler by Warrick. My inhaler use increased to SIX TIMES A DAY on HFA inhalers. They DO NOT WORK. Fight for proven CFC inhalers. | NH |

| 113 | The new ProAir inhaler does not relieve my son's symptoms. He has to use more to get relief and the relief does not last as long. He runs out before he is able to get another one and thus misses school a lot more. | OH |

| 117 | Proair with ethanol almost killed me! Doctors say that HFA and CFC are the same, they are not. The new propellant disburses the albuteral over a larger area thus the dose is greater. | IL |
| 118 | Not only is PROAIR more expensive, the product seems to "leak out". So you use it once and go back to use it a week or so later and the tube is empty. Thus creating a health issue as well as financial. We have had to refill our prescription 3 times vs. once a month with the CFC product. | OK | Anonymous |
| 119 | My life will probably end when my supply of cfc inhalers runs out. | WA |

| 121 | Then New "Pro Air" Inhalors don't work, what are we supposed to Die, what will it take to get it through your heads, as i sit here reading forms over and over and over, and by personal Experience, they don't work, My asthma has gotten worse since taking it, I am having to use a nebulizer more and more, and I can't just wip it out at work. we need the CFC inhalors to live, and function. We can't afford the ER every few hours. My lungs almost stoped working because of the new stuff, and yet it is supposed to be better, Bull. Please listen to all of our plea's and help us. or we will have to find alternet means of aquiring CFC (Warrick) albuteral inhalors. Thanks for you Time | UT |
| 122 | MY DAUGHTER IS 18 AND HAS ASTHMA. HER PUFFER WAS CHANGED TWO YEARS AGO TO PROVENTIL HFA AND NOW SHE IS WORSE. NOW SHE HAS TO TAKE ADVAIR 500, SINGULAR, PREVICID, AND NOW WE ARE ON A NEBULIZER. SHE IS IN COLLEGE AND IS CONSTANTLY HAVING ASTHMA ATTACKS. USING THE PROVENTIL SEVERAL TIMES PER DAY ALONG WITH THE NEBULIZER. I WANT TO HELP SAVE HER LUNGS. | TN |

| 124 | I have used the CFC albuterol inhaler for years. I have tried the newer cfc-free versions, such as proventil and the newer one put out by Warrick Pharmaceuticals, but I get very little relief from them. It seems ludicrous to me to change an inhaler that works for people with asthma to eliminate a negligible negative effect it may have on the environment. People with asthma are the ones most effected by the environment and now you are depriving me of the one medication that helps the most in an attack. I think there are many more pollutants to the environment and ozone layer that the governement should be concentrating their efforts on. Not only didi my last inhaler cost me more money but since it doesn't work as well, I use more puffs and then still get minimal relief. Lately I have been forced to rely on nebulizer treatments more and more. And just to assure everyone that I do not rely on the albuterol inhalers to control my asthma, let it be known that I take Theophylline, singular, and advair on a daily basis. Please allow those of us who are struggling to breathe to use the one medication that works the best whatever it may be. If some people get relief from the newer inhalers, encourage them to continue to use them, but for those of us who get no relief from the them, we should be allowed to use the older version. (I also have 4 children who suffer from asthma in varying degrees. Only one of them gets relief from the CFC-free inhalers. They wil be signing their names to the petition also. Thank-you. | NJ |
| 125 | I just visited my mother yesterday for the first time in awhile and she is working hard to help save her inhaler. I'd never seen her use a nebulizer before and it's a scary thing to see my mom go to just needing a little inhaler in her pocket, going out, shopping and stuff life that, to constantly staying at home because she needs that nebulaizer now. She explained it to me and kids especially are getting their lives screwed up. I want my mother back the way she was before she was afraid to go out of her house. Dear FDA please give my mother back the life she had ! | NC |

| 129 | I was given a ProAir HFA inhaler at my pharmacy, in place of the CFC Albuterol I used to get. It didn't work for me, and most of the time it made my asthma worse. Asthmatics need a quick relief inhaler that works. Then I ended up having to take a Pulmicort inhaler along with my Advair and Singulair that I already take to get my asthma better.
Asthmatics are spraying these inhalers into their lungs, not out into the open air. I'd wager that there is not a significant amount that goes into the air.
There are probably other things that are much more of a threat to our enviroment.
And are you willing to risk the health of asthmatics????
With the increased cost of HFA inhalers, many asthmatics simply won't be able to afford them, including me. | AZ |

| 132 | I just started using the HFA inhaler and find it almost totally useless. Thank god I have an old one left, after that I don't know what I can do. For God's sake, change this back to CFC. I have mild asthma, and I can't imagine the pain and horror the ones with severe are going through. | WI |

| 137 | I hate this new inhaler, it does not work as well as the CFC albuterol inhaler. It feels like I need to take 2x the amount of medication and It still does NOT work well. | CA |
| 138 | I will do whatever it takes to keep the CFC inhalers on the market. I have been very sick after being forced to take the HFA. | AZ |

| 141 | I never was a fighter nor a confrontational person. But you mess with somebody's ability to breathe on an everyday basis and you've picked the wrong battle. I've had to move out of my hometown and home state because of my asthma and now I'm getting back to where I was because I don't have such a simple thing as a working inhaler. If you ever need anything from me, I can be a great representative. I'm very passionate about my beliefs, and I believe greatly in asthmatics being able to have a valid prescription. Having to order my medication from Canada should tell people how far gone the US government has become. | CO |

| 143 | Reporting life-threatening worsening of symptoms to FDA. At Kaiser Permanente Panorama City, CA.
Just completed complaint regarding Albuterol HFA.
Occurred over ten months ago, had no idea a real campaign had been organized against the poison. | CA |
| 144 | I am an asthma sufferer. I tried the new ProAir HFA today. I tolerated the old albuterol well, but this HFA albuterol made me really sick. I got a headache within seconds, almost passed out and have been nauseous all evening. What am I going to do next time I wake up gasping for air? I am obviously too sensitive to use it. Im shocked that this has happened to so many innocent people. Why not ban smoking entirely? Do you know how many thousands of harmful chemicals are emitted by people cigarette smoking?! The amount of harm done to environment and innocent bystanders far exceeds anything that a tiny amount of propellant has done. Really this is just a tradegy and Im sorry that Im caught in the middle of it. | CA | Anonymous |
| 145 | I have asthma and the new albuterol inhaler sucks, its half as good as the cfc inhalers so now I need twice as much to get half the effect. | CA | Anonymous |

| 147 | PLEASE BRING BACK THE ATROVENT CFC ,,,I AM UNABLE TO TAKE THE HFA ,,ATROVENT CFC WAS THE ONLY MEDICINE I COULD USE,,,,PLEASE FOR MY LIFE BRING IT BACK AND BAN THE HFA ,,THIS ISNT RIGHT TO ALLOW US TO SUFFER WHEN THERE IS MEDICINE THAT COULD BE AVAILABLE......THINK OF CHILDREN AND ALL PEOPLE WHO NEED THESE LIFE SAVING MEDICATIONS,,ITS NOT JUST THE IBUTEROL ,,ITS ATROVENT AND ALL OTHERS THAT CONTAINED THE CFC..THE HFA'S ARE NOT GOOD | FL |

| 149 | I can't unerstand the problem of the medication in th air polution. It is inhaled not sprayed out in the air. The new replacements are terrible and not as effective for me as the old ones. I'm suffering.... | CO | Anonymous |
| 150 | The new albuterol inhalers do not provide enough force to enter the lungs and make a sufficient difference. If that is the case, how do they have sufficient force to enter the ozone layer and damage it? And indeed this is all about making money for the powers that be and neglecting the people who depend on this medication to breathe. | MA |
