My body rejects the new inhalers with ethanol. I don't know what I am going to do after the first of the year if the cfc's are not brought back to the market.TX

Those other inhalers do not work! Bring back the CFC medical inhalers.TX

The new inhalers do not work. My state has banned the "old" kind with CFCs. The inhalers really don't work at elevation. I live at 6,000 feet and need my inhaler to work. I have to take soo many puffs I get dizzy before the inhaler even works slightly. I'm worried, what will happen to me in a major attack? It just won't work and then what? I'm not looking forward to next spring when the pollen visits. I'll just probably be hospitalized, or have to move to sea level!CAAnonymous
My husband can not tolerate the new inhalers- he was doing fine, his asthma was under control before this terrible change. PLEASE fix this mistake quickly and bring back the old inhalers!CA

Please save the Warrick CFC inhalers. I cannot use the others, as I am allergic to ethanol, the propellent in the hfa inhalers. And Ventolin doesn't work as well as Warrick CFC albuterol. I have asthma.CA
I need my CFC inhalers back! The HFA's are not working for me.FL
ProAir does not administer the 200 doses it claims... I'm lucky if I get 35 doses before it 'peters out'.... my Pharmacist blames that on me (the way I use it, he compared me to a kid who had his inhaler in his pocket while riding a bike, "and everytime he peddled he administered a dose in his pocket" "ha-ha" Believe me, it is kept in a hard case eyeglass holder in an inside pocket of my purse, ready for emergency use (rescue) only.... and when it doesn't work?! HELP! ... not only that, it costs more!NYAnonymous

I must have albuterol-the older one. This new one does not work for me. The new ones cause me more problems.GA
Please bring back the old Albuterol inhalers. The new ones are making my asthma worse. I could tell the difference immediately.TX

Does not work as well as my old one and is much more expensive--I can't afford it!!NY
My out-of-pocket expenses for my asthma inhaler has gone up by a factor of 6 overnight (was $5, now $30 co-pay). This change has really impacted my monthly expenses. Please help reduce these costs. Thank you.CO

Seems like the CFC amount in the inhalers is so small that we are foresaking the health of a group that needs the inhaler to stay alive. A knee jerk reaction for a small problem.WAAnonymous

The ban on CFC propellent Albuterol inhalers will affect millions of Americans with chronic lung disease like asthma and COPD. There are a wide variety of drugs used to control asthma - some are preventative and others are for immediate relief in situations when the preventative drug has failed. The most widely used and effective prescription inhalant drug for situations in which immediate relief is needed is Albuterol which is delivered by inhalant directly to the lungs. Prior to the development of the Albuterol inhalant drugs it was very difficult to control asthma and frequent visits to hospital emergency rooms to receive nebulizer drug treatment, epinephrine injections, oxygen and sometimes hospitalization were typical for most. Asthma (and other related chronic lung conditions) can generally be controlled fairly well with the inhalant drugs taken as needed allowing for a major improvement in everyday living. Without the drug, lung capacity is compromised leading to secondary conditions such as lung infections. Quality of life declines considerably. Albuterol inhalants will be banned in the United States over the next few years due to environmental concerns. Major pharmaceutical companies have developed a drug which pharmacies have already begun distributing as replacement to the Albuterol inhalants. The replacement drug is not proving to be effective in controlling the disease, as documented by thousands of patients. Asthma is a serious health concern and the ban on the most effective drug is sending patients into a panic. If you can imagine....... knowing that in a little over a year's time your ability to breathe was going to be severly compromised..... many of those with asthma and COP are terrified of how they will cope when the ban fully takes effect. Many are asking their doctors for home oxygen tanks, nebulizers, etc. in anticipation of the decline they expect in their health. I am in support of protecting our earth but the ban on the Albuterol propellent inahler is not about asking people to switch to an alternative fuel automobile or recycle waste - it is a situation that will severly affect millions of people who rely on the current drugs to exist without the debilitaing effects of unmanaged chronic lung disease.WA

the cfc-free inhalers don not work as good, they cost several times as much, and could cost asthma patients their livesNC
They just want to sell more expensive drug. Won't do much for the ozone.NE
Using the new inhaler scares me to death. You can't tell if it's empty or full...when you need it in an emergency and you are starting to panic, you CANNOT feel the force of delivery...more panic...don't know if inhaler worked....more panic...spray again. Please don't tell me to see if I can "taste" it.....that's the farthest thing from your mind when you are in "trouble".IL
Why would you pull this Product; if it HELPS those who have asthma? A very good friend of mine, is going to lose her rescue inhaler in 16 months, if you all do this. Then where is she to go? Keep it Going, for those who need this.FL
My wife was just recently forced into using the ProAir HFA inhailer after using the Albuterol USP from warrik for many years. She is unable to sleep anymore due to hard breathing problems, she has been getting leg cramps that are very painful and in general her quality of life is way down.NE
Its scary knowing that the inhaler that I am forced to use is not NEAR as effective (if at all effective) as my old CFC inhaler was! Changes must be made!KS
in the few short weeks since i had no choice but to start the new inhaler i have had a dramatic increase in difficulty breathing. this new "rescue" inhaler barely takes the edge off of an attack, it does not stop the attack. It scares me.NE
Proventil is ineffective and triple the cost.PA
I hate these new inhalers! I can't get the medicine in my lungs! Please give us back the inhalers that work.GA
Do this so people can breath!!! For my daughter-in-law and all the others I know who can't use the "new-improved inhalers"OH
My son has had asthma since the age of five. He has always used the old inhalers, but the new inhalers are not doing the job for him. His symptoms continue after the new inhaler is used--very serious!! These old inhalers need to be excluded from the law, and reinstated for asthmatics before lives are lost!!SD
I am allergic to the new propellant in the HFA inhalers. I can't live like this..... People with asthma need to be able to rely on their meds. Why not continue making the CFC inhalers as well as the HFA inhalers... this way, people who like the HFA can use those, and those of us that REPLY on the CFC inhalers to live can have those readly available to us.MIAnonymous

Exactly trueMO
I cannot breath with the new inhalers. Let me breath!CA
It would be nice if doctors would get it through there thick freakin heads that the Pro-Air HFA inhalers "DO NOT WORK AT ALL !" I'm the asthma patient ! -You would think... I would know better ! In fact those damm inhalers actually seem to intensify my asthma symptoms!MI
Pro-Air is simply BS! I can't taste it, even after I inhale it 3 times I'm still breathing poorly and the canister for which I paid out of my pocket $45 was empty after 1 week!!! My pharmacy doesn't carry anymore of old Albuterol, I tried calling other pharmacies to see if I can transfer my prescription. I will be calling my friends in Russia where you can buy Salbutamol without prescription and ask them to buy me a load! Hopefully Post Office will not stop the package from delivery... Maybe there is nothing but air in Pro-Air??? Maybe MD's decided that the condition is in our head?FL

I have tried the new inhaler three times. In every case, I had to use my old inhaler because the new one didn't work after several puffs. (Luckily I have part of an old canister left.) What is going to happen when this runs out, and I can no longer get the CFC kind?MN
