Not only is this a home from home for the children who attend, it is also a training nursery for those attending Warwickshire College undertaking childcare courses. It provides essential childcare to college students on a term time only basis and holds government funded places, all of which will be lost in the event of closure. Please show your support by signing our petition to keep this vital part of the college open.
We believe the reason for closure is based on the requirement for a new building to house the nursery, therefore we are campaigning to keep the nursery open and work alongside Warwickshire College to raise the necessary funds.

As a retired Health visitor I know how important good accessible childcare is to the well being of the child & the parents & the community - family life & a content happy workforce.-Reduces illness in both parents & child ,better work production.
Feeling very sad reading this. I started work in the nursery when it first opened its doors in February 1991 and was there for 12 years. A great loss to the children, parents, staff ,students and College if it closes.
This is the first nursery my son ever went to and I will be eternally grateful to the staff for taking great care of him and dealing with my separation anxiety. Without them or the college itself I would not be at university training for a new career. Xx
This nursery was essential for me as a young mum to help me gain my marketing qualifications, which have led me to having a great career. To lose this great service would be a huge loss, especially (in my experience) to young mums x
I did my nursery nurse training at Warwickshire College in the early 1980's & there was no nursery in those days, surely having one is very helpful to students in order to gain experience & also an asset to staff & college students studying at the college who are parents.
Its a very bad move from the College who put profit before little children.
I used this nursery for my daughter 16yrs ago and couldnt have even contemplated attending a course without it. They were very supportive and infact picked up on the fact very early on that my daughter was very good at maths (she is now training to be an aerospace engineer at Coventry University!). Shame on them if they get rid of such a vital part of the College and good luck with the petition.

This is a vital facility for staff, students and those on childcare courses. There must be other rooms in the college which could accommodate this nursery. The government professes its enthusiasm for more nursery accommodation; lets see it act on its rhetoric!
