Comments: We have heard so many horror stories coming out of Diamond Ranch Academy it's simply appalling to me that this place is still open! I couldn't imagine sending my child to a "school" where they would be berated and emotionally abused on a daily basis and quite possibly injured durring the violent infliction of restraint and stress positions. The schooling at this program is sub-par, it's nothing more than a regular home school course, or likely worse! Students are regularly denied adequate medical care and a child died in DRA because staff refused him medical care, and caused him undue stress in his last hours of life. The men who run this facility have been reported to be nothing but over-grown bullies, child abusers in the name of treatment and they deserve to be in jail for their crimes. Not rewarded with another student to torture! Those fancy brochures are lies! Don't fall for their marketing tactics, that is where all the parent's money goes, not to the kids. Do your research, PLEASE for the well being of this child PLEASE DO NOT SEND HER TO DIAMOND RANCH ACADEMY!!

Comments: I went to Casa by the Sea in Ensanada, a very similar "school". These places are horrific and abusive. I strongly suggest the judge to reconsider.

We at SIA Organization have been contacted by numerous survivors of this type of program. The affects of this type of program are life long and can be something that affects the entire family. Comments: I was sent to Diamond Ranch Academy for almost a year, during which I was neglected, dehumanized, tortured, and abused. I still suffer from PTSD as a result of this abuse. DRA is a deceitful, manipulative program that harms people, and lies to parents with manipulation and false advertising tactics, to make their heaps of money. Victoria does NOT need to be sent there, and will most likely be scarred for life after being sentthere.

Comments: Victoria should not be forced to go to this DETENTION CAMP. A child needs love, not forced labour. This camp should be closed and those in charge should be investigated and most likely imprisoned for child abuse. There must be some other way. Please do not

Comments: I was incarcerated in a similarly abusive and neglectful program for 2 years. No child deserves this and people in authority, judges, should be more accountable to researching these places to ensure they are not abusive. Do not send this girl or any other child here without first visiting the facility yourself, sir. Otherwise, the outcome is on your hands as well and you are being complicit in any abuse they suffer.

Comments: I have known many individuals held in such facilities as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Youth Rights Association. Such facilities are frequently in violation of standards governing educational institutions and grossly mistreat youth in ways related to their physical and psychological well-being. All of the individuals I know who have been in such programs have had lasting psychological scars and in some cases lasting physical problems too.
