   Comments: There is no positive reason for closing the Department of Engineering Technology at UCF in order to save funds. The Department is essential and the least expensive to run in the UCF system. The Legislative aim is to educate graduates to enhance business in FL - Technologist are needed by Industry for successful operations - Engineers are essential for research but without technologist the research results can not be made operational.

    Comments: I think closing the Engineering Technology department severely hurts the businesses, students and effectiveness for Central Florida to compete in an extremely demanding field. With the Kennedy Space Center facing one of the largest downturns in employment in its history, now more than ever, we need programs like this to help students faces the technological challenges of tomorrow.

    Comments: Graduated with a BSET in Space Science in 2005, I work for United Space Alliance currently on the Space Shuttle and new Orion / Ares programs. This degree has made this possible and it would be ashame to see the entire department go away and other not have the opportunites I have enjoyed.

    Comments: As an International student, cancelling now will waiste a lot of money that my parents saved throughout the years, and for nothing. 8 thousand a term is no joke, so they can cancel it just like that. Really hurts a lot of people

    Comments: Engineering Technology students are much more prepared to succeed after graduated. After graduating from the Program in 1998, I consistently earned a higher salary than most engineers. Moreover, I currently support one of the Nation's top classified programs and I work with graduates from top tier schools e.g. Naval Academy, West Point, and MIT. Closing this Program will deny future students the potential opportunities I have enjoyed!
