Save train services from Beckenham Junction/Kent House/Penge East/Sydenham Hill/West Dulwich to St Pancras and beyond.

Beckenham Junction, Kent House, Penge East, Sydenham Hill and West Dulwich are set to lose Thameslink train services to St Pancras and beyond in 2018. The new Thameslink route maps show these services ceasing in May 2018.
Following a little known government consultation in 2012 called “Consultation on the combined Thameslink, Southern and Great Northern franchise” the Department for Transport decided that no trains from Beckenham Junction, Kent House, Penge East, Sydenham Hill and West Dulwichwould go through the Thameslink Core (2 way track between Blackfriars and City Thameslink). Instead services on the Wimbledon Loop would be increased. This decision was made despite Network Rail's recommendation that Wimbledon services should terminate at Blackfrairs and not go through the Core.
Beckenham and Penge, Sydenham and Dulwich will lose the service in favour of the Wimbledon Loop having 4 trains an hour to St Pancras and beyond. It is not reasonable that Wimbledon is given all the Thameslink services whilst a critical rail service is completely removed from Beckenham Junction, Kent House, Penge East, Sydenham Hill and West Dulwich. Surely there is capacity for these stations to retain their 6 daily Thameslink services? Local people rely on these services!
The Department of Transport is stopping the train operator running trains from Beckenham Junction to St Pancras and beyond. Further there are no guarantees that services will be retained from Beckenham Junction (via Kent House, Penge East, Sydenham Hill and West Dulwich) to terminate at Blackfriars (the station before the Thameslink Core).

This route is vital for my commute and also picking up my children from childcare. This would have a HUGELY negative effect on my life, surely this can be retained, Wimbledon is an incredibly well serviced area by comparison!!
Southeast London has been historically disadvantaged in terms of transport, not having had the benefit of the Tube. Services such as the line from Beckenham Junction to St Pancras go some way to compensating for this. Please don’t give our trains to Wimbledon!
The only alternative route is either changing at Herne Hill or Brixton or Victoria - neither of them is in an acceptable state in the busy mornings, whoever that made this decision should try those routes out themselves first on a weekday morning
These trains are always packed. The 5.56 from blackfriars to kent house is ridiculously rammed. In the morning, one cancelled train and herne hill descends into a misery pit with commuters left on the platorm as train after train leaves without a space for them.
This direct service to St Pancras is a god send for my parents who live in Sheffield. It means only 1 change required when they come to visit, rather than getting a taxi from St Pancrs to Charing Cross (they're too old to fight with the tube system!)
I live in the East Midlands and have family in Beckenham. The St Pancras to Beckenham link is invaluable and means I don’t need to use the Underground
Very handy for getting to the City and takes pressure off London Bridge

As a disabled person who uses this service regularly, i will be really angry if this service was reduced or even stopped. My life is a struggle at the best of times and this proposal will make my life even more of a struggle. The staff are wonderful at penge east.
