Save the UCLA LGBT Minor

754 Signatures Goal: 1,000

Dear Fellow Bruins,

Due to recent budget cuts and the university's need to consolidate departments in order to save money, there is a proposal to combine the LGBT Minor with Gender Studies.

This merger of the two fields would result in a smaller capacity for enrollment in the LGBT Minor and could lead to less LGBT studies specific classes being offered. Currently this proposal is before the Academic Senate awaiting review. ****Correction! An official proposal is not before the Academic Senate, but has been presented as a potential viable option. Please contact Arthur Little (chair of the LGBTS Department) if you have any questions regarding the proposal little@humnet.ucla.edu*****

If you would like to aid in the efforts to save the LGBT Minor please sign this petition.

If you have any questions please contact Kim Davis at usaaac@asucla.ucla.edu or Eric Adams at strugglingtoro@gmail.com.

Thank you,

UCLA Queer Alliance and the USAC Academic Affairs Commission
