We are well into our second week, hitting almost 1700 signatures in 7 days. Now it's time to hit the blogs, emails, and RT-- and share the link (now easily available by going to our Institute homepage).
For a summary of current events, please see this news summary. We are so grateful, from the beginning, with his December 10th interview in the La Repubblica article, for the insightful words of Academy-Award®-winning actor Russell Crowe regarding not just the mausoleum but also the importance of cultural heritage preservation. We also publicly thank him for his 5 RT and one direct Tweet, regarding the AIRC's promotion of this iPetition.
In recent days, the number of blogs and sharing has increased. Although this list is not exhaustive, we would like to make mention of the following.
Archaeology News Network
Archaeo in Action
Un'Americana a Roma
Please bring to my attention more blogs or sites that mention the petition. I am happy to speak with anyone about the site and the ipetition.
In addition, we would like to thank so many of you for sharing and RT, with special mention and thanks to ICCROM and Roma Sotterranea.
But, we still have a lot of work to do. As the third La Repubblica article stated, the site has a reprieve for now. But the battle is just beginning. The key way for us to be heard to sign this petition and present, by the end of the year, a substantial number of signatures in a short period. That is the best way to declare to the superintendency that they must not give up on this site.
