What an incredible response, from around the world! In just one day, we exceeded 500 signatures.
I urge everyone who signs to add some identifying information in the Comments box. At the very least, please give your city and country, and consider adding your job title and place of employment. Many of you have already made great declarations or observations. Please continue to do so!

feature to spread the word far and wide about this petition. If you have taken the time to sign, then it's just a little more effort to inform your friends, your social networks. (It would fantastic if you can also blog about this ipetiion; I am available too for a quote or further elaboration.) Time is
short, and our goal is to reach 5,000 plus signatures as soon as possible, to have the greatest impact on the Italian superintendency's decision this December on the Gladiator Tomb excavation area (over 12,000 square meters!). We still have a long way to go before we
reach our goal!
