Since January 2013 many members of the Woodthorpe community came together and decided to transform a once derelict, concrete mess of a shopping precinct into a bright, feel good garden. It brings so much joy to the community and everyone who knows the area appreciates the dramatic changes that have been accomplished over the 18 months.
Unfortunately, we have been informed that our landlord wants us to remove the pallet gardens to the front of the shops and they want the blue wall returning to the original concrete brick. The landlord has given us 7 days to remove the gardens otherwise they will forcibly remove it for us!
We believe it is unfair and unjust that a long distance landlord (based in London) that has never once visited the shops can just come along and demand changes to what he authorised we could do 18 months ago that many of us have worked very hard to achieve.
If you have witnessed the great change to Somersby Road with the installation of our gardens and agree that we should be aloud to keep them going, please sign this petition.
