Name: Andy Rose on Apr 27, 2012Comments: What a lot of nonsense, let common sense prevail and give the lad his job back. What he does is considerably more valuable than the pen pushing desk jockey's that 'run' things and he deserves respect for what he does, even if a ticking off might be considered due for a pretty minor jaunt.Flag

Save the real heroes, get rid of the bloodsucking paper pushers.Flag

Name: Netta Simpson on Apr 28, 2012Comments: For goodness sake get a grip! It's hardly the crime of the year, as has been said many times before these men are worth their weight in gold. Stopping of to buy some steak surely could be classed as an excercise in landing safely on new ground. Are we now going to see investigations and suspensions when the local Community Nurse nips into the shop on her way home from work to buy something for her tea???Flag

Name: JESS THOMAS on Apr 28, 2012Comments: Contrary to the sensationalism headlines in the usual tacky newspapers about this incident, unless you read further you would have thought they flew specially to Shetland just to collect meat. This was of course totally untrue and the crew were only approx. 2 miles away at the airport. So what if they nipped over to the Butchers on their way home to pick up some meat? There's far worse going on in this world which people can get their teeth into if they want to have a go at something. These guys risk their lives day in day out to save others' lives. Give them a break and lighten up!Flag

Name: Alan Johnson on Apr 29, 2012Comments: In principle this is no worse than a policeman stopping off to buy a burgher or newspaper, or an RAF pilot diverting to fly over his partents' house. Plus the practice landing on rough terrain was relevant to their training. What an over-reaction!Flag
