Name: Karyn on Dec 6, 2012Comments: Please do not close this bookstore. I know it is the 21st century and online books and such are the in thing. My family and children love to read. Having the opportunity to hold a book in their hands and read it to us is wonderful for us and them. The details in each and every picture illustrated does not compare to online reading. Please keep this store open!Flag

Name: Lee Fortna on Dec 6, 2012Comments: PLease leave the Barnes & Noble store in Reston where it is! It is the only bookstore we have in Reston, and everyone frequents it regularly. We do not need a Container Store of any kind!Flag

Name: Leslie Leviton on Dec 6, 2012Comments: Lerner Corporation: Please listen to the citiziens who make your business possible and work with Barnes & Noble to reach a suitable lease agreement. This bookstore, the only one in Reston, contributes in a positive way to our community and is beloved my residents. While there is nothing wrong with the Container Store, we don't want to loose our bookstore for the sake of it and your company making more money!Flag

Name: Allison Hoover on Dec 6, 2012Comments: I have been going diligently since I've moved to Reston 7 years ago. Barnes & Noble is now a big part of my family's life as we love the children's center and make it a Saturday morning activity to look & read books while my husband & I enjoy our morning coffees. To not have this reputable family- oriented establishment exist in Reston would not be like the life one knows of Reston. Please keep Barnes & Noble as part of our ever-so-thriving city!Flag

Name: Phyllis Krapf on Dec 6, 2012Comments: This loss is a real shame. Our community is changing in too many negative ways. Reston should have a bookstore, and I hope its citizens will make this need known to the people who can make a diffference.Flag

Name: Tara Cranford Teague on Dec 6, 2012Comments: The Reston B&N has always supported our schools, our PTAs, and the community of our life. Lerner is backing the wrong horse with a Container Store; Restonians have homes filled with books on shelves, and the option to buy plastic boxes at Home Depot and Target.Flag

Name: Stephanie Johnson on Dec 6, 2012Comments: I am so upset and disappointed that Barnes and Noble will be leaving. Just because we are techy doesn't mean that we don't love paper books. I, for one, will not read on a Kindle. Plus I go to Barnes and Nobles to relax and buy little gifts. Please work harder to keep the lease. And there are no other book stores in Reston.Flag

Name: Rena Corey on Dec 6, 2012Comments: B&N is a big part of our community, Lerner! We often walk there with the kids to browse and to buy. We meet friends there in the evenings, also, to chat and to share gift lists, etc. And it is a celebrated rite of passage in our family when our children are finally able to bike to the bookstore on their own. Hard to see how The Container Store can fill the same sort of role for Reston.Flag

Name: Claire on Dec 6, 2012Comments: I shake my head with questions. Are we losing the Reston Town's warm community? Is it becoming an addition to Tyson's Corner? Does Lerner Enterprises need to be reminded that Barnes and and Nobles Book Store draws customers to the other stores and restaurants nearby as well? As a volunteer docent in a museum on the Mall in DC, I was delighted to find that visitors from everywhere were praising Reston and its success in combining community with nature and with businesses and residents. Barnes and Nobles Book Store is an important part of all this.Flag

Name: Ann Ruebelmann on Dec 6, 2012Comments: I've lived in Reston for 34 years. During that time I have seen a small independent bookstore at North Point be forced to close due to competition. Now you are telling me that we will be without a bookstore entirely?!? That is not acceptable. Barnes and Noble needs to get their act together or they will be totally out of business.Flag

Name: Kay Trenda on Dec 6, 2012Comments: One of my favorite things to do when I visit my sister in Reston is spend time browsing and shopping in the Reston Barnes and Noble. I think it's important for the Reston community to have a great bookstore like Barnes and Noble! It really saddens me to think it may not be there the next time I get to visit.Flag

Name: JKRoig on Dec 6, 2012Comments: B&N must stay! Reston NEEDS a bookstore for new books and a decent selection of CD's and DVD's. B&N has been a fixture in the community for so many years - I probably buy 75% of my Xmas and Birthday gifts there. The Container Store will NOT be as well received or appreciated. This stinks!Flag

Name: Victoria on Dec 6, 2012Comments: We should not have to travel to another town to visit a bookstore with our children. The children's area at B&N is an essential resource. The library is wonderful (although in sore need of updating and improvements) but a bookstore is important too. It has been our favorite place to while away rainy, snowy, or too hot afternoons.Flag

Name: Ching Fang-Weeden on Dec 6, 2012Comments: Reston without a bookstore? The small used bookstore at Lake Anne is fine but does not meet the needs of a young and growing community here. How laughable that we will be inundated with plastic containers and are bereft of books in Reston. The relentless march of sane commericalism indeed.Flag
